BMW M2: I love this car.
Five years in I still love this car. It looks and drives better than new. It has been the best BMW I have owned and I have had BMWs since 1971. It definitely is more fun than my E46 M3 was.

Absolutely! Couldn't agree more, every single time you get in its an experience. Don't think I'll ever get rid of mine or trade it in...next house will need a three car garage. It's just the right size, and surprisingly practical which is a really great bonus.

Same here, it doesn't nearly feel like I've had the car 3 years and 4 months, but I guess that's how it goes when you're happy with something, time just flies. I also feel like the few mods I've done have really made the car what it should have been from the factory, with the exception of more power, which it didn't need IMO.

^^^Man those wheels...
Anyhoo, having both the LCI OG and an M2C I have to agree with one exception...my 1M would get top honors, it was a hooligan for sure.

Here here!
I’m only a year into my ownership and a second owner. Even so, it’s as you say: it just keeps getting better. Each drive is something to anticipate. If anything, I wish the engine oil would warm up faster so the fun could start earlier. (But that’s probably a by-product of my 20 minute, low RPM, constant speed commute. The engine takes awhile to warm up at 1800 RPM!) I’ve immensely enjoyed the last year and look forward to many more years to come with my M2! |

I'm all over this as well. 5.5 years in, original Alpine w/black accents, low miles and super maintained.
Mods? several cosmetics, but nothing to add to it's already terminal speed capability -- and for me??, -- just me here --- keeping a dash CEL sudden "light-up" for someone else to fret about. It's a keeper. |

About 5.3 years in and I love my M2. I have to agree - I bought an E46 M3 brand new, it was an incredible machine. But the OG M2 was / is even better.

I took delivery in June 2016, just hit 80K miles and enjoy the car every day. (I, too, had a 2003 M3 and that was a fun car as well.) This will be my last ICE car as the future is electric... Neue Klasse.

I found myself contemplating a used 2020 6MT SO M2C with under 4k miles last week…fell in love with the color when it was originally released. And was certain at some point I’d buy an M2C so I could experience both.
But after driving my OG, I just don’t see the point of spending the significantly extra $$$. It has everything I need. As mentioned above, it still brings the feels.

I’ve had mine two months, and just absolutely love it. I’ve lusted for an M car for years, and love everything about my OG M2.
Going Stage 2 this weekend, DP, intercooler and pipes going on it. |

Had my OG LCI since March 2019, and I still get excited about driving it as I did after purchasing it. With a few personal touches to suit my own taste, it feels nearly perfect for someone who doesn’t have space/means to own 2+ cars.
We recently just had our first little one, and while admittedly it’s not the easiest thing to do to load a rear facing car seat into the back (I’d be lying if I said it’s the same as doing it in a 4dr), I don’t even mind the minor inconvenience. I’m just super happy it fits! And she loves the drive too. My current mood is I don’t ever wanna sell this car. |

Mines a late 2016 LBB OG M2 DCT. Currently sitting at 37000miles. As others, some minor cosmetics, no performance mods as yet.
I've come from Lotus' / Loti(?) and while I will go back at some point, I can't tell when. Might keep the M2 and get a kit car to go alongside. Who knows.

@[DanG] this spontaneous gesture of appreciation is what this is all about, and yours made me smile because after driving my car this morning I thought “will this feeling ever wear out?”
I got mine 7 days ago! Loving it. |

I’m where Weetbix is too. Hang in there as it’s only a couple of years of forced yoga to get the littles in and out of the seats and then they’ll be arguing over who rides shotgun. The last thing you will want to do is try and buy one back later for more than you paid originally without knowing the history.

I just went for a drive after a week-and-a-half of home-bound isolation due to COVID. It was a humdrum trip to the local dealership parts dept and a grocery store. Nuthin’ fancy. Yet I was all smiles when I got home. Driving this car — even for mundane tasks — is like being hooked up to an endorphin IV!

I'm coming up on five years of ownership in March. I too still love this car very much. When I bought my first M car, an 95 M3; it was five years old but had 84K miles on it. I only have just under 31K on the M2. I had the M3 13 years.
I'm not sure how long I'll keep the M2, but it will probably be awhile. |

Perfect car, love my LCI. Just did some coding with Bimmercode, the new full screen CarPlay option is a game changer. Such a small thing but now the car tech feels brand new!
