Just spoke to BMW NA. No changes since yesterday

Still showing:
1 - Released to Waggoners trucking, not Wagoneers trucking (thanks Supernaut).
2 - ETA at dealer Sun Mar 15 ("subject to change")

BMW NA recommends "calling your CA for more information" If they knew my CA, they'd know how ridiculous that idea sounds.

That's actually a good point. But here's what I don't get. My car has been "released to carrier" for a whole day now !

Where the hell is it sitting between the VPC and the dealer ? Are there intermediate black holes between all the different waypoints in the process ? If it's not at the VPC and not at the dealer, where the @*$# is it ?!!!!

Is it just sitting and rotting somewhere, waiting for the truck driver to put it on a truck ? I love how this process works.

If I ever buy another BMW in my life, it will be off a lot ... I shit you not. I'll find the most heavily optioned BMW on the lot and then negotiate the shit out of the price.

I have emailed my CA asking him why he thinks inspection should take 2-3 days at the dealer. Let's see what genius bullshit answer he comes up with.

They're quite good at making shit up and covering it up with a thick layer of whipped cream.

Almost every new owner here has reported their car being ready in a matter of hours. I'm not going to let these people play me like a violin.

I spoke to my dealer today and he confirmed that he could have the car ready to go in 2-3 hrs of him receiving it. He also said he'd be able to take pictures of it as it gets off the truck.

2-3 days is bullshit if you don't have anything major being installed at the dealership.

I have had a tense email exchange with the CA (see my other thread "Dealer being very difficult").

I made it clear to them, in the end, that I want it done in 1 business day (end of story).

(2) The MyBMW status change didn't boost your morale much, after all
(3) Your CA (or dealer) hasn't handled this well, for sure, starting from the time you ordered you car. Maybe they lose perspective because 2's are on the inexpensive end of their line of cars, but it's a lot of money, regardless. More importantly, if they're trying to build their stable of new loyal buyers who escalate into more expensive cars with age/success, this is a poor way to do it. It's unfortunate they're your only local option.

Our 2er is coming from a different dealership than the X3 for exactly that reason. We had a bad experience with that one (but a great one with the X3 before that one). It's a crap shoot, even at the same dealership.

I hope this becomes a minor distant memory once you're behind the wheel of your beautiful new car, on the hunt for Anne.

I just called BMW NA again and mine is still at the port, not yet at the VPC. I figure there's no point in even calling my CA until it's at the VPC. If I fly down there do you think they'd let me drive it there myself??
