235 discounted?!
One of the local dealers has had an AW 235 for about a month now at msrp $48,975. I just noticed they've lowered the price by $1,400. I take that as a good sign and beneficial to us. Once we get some spring-like weather here in Northern Ohio sometime in August maybe it will go back up. Maybe the intro of the CLA45, or S3 have any bearing on it. Great for the consumer.

Thats just 3% off msrp (base on $49k)
Question is what % off msrp should we expect to pay...or is a fair price to pay

If everyone list the % off msrp that would be better than just listing what you pay

Yeah it's pretty ridiculous you guys pay way more for something that's manufactured right there. If anything, Germans should be able to get it dirt cheap. Not to mention the price of gas.

Try buying a car in Hong Kong, double or triple our prices thanks to import duties.

I have a coworker from Singapore, and cars there are absolutely astronomically priced! My $35K 228i would cost around $143,000USD there!
Even my POS Focus would cost around $110,000USD! |

If the US car market is the same as here in the UK. It's the end of the month and targets need to be met.

Just remember one other minor point. The Cdn dealer will give u the stnd jargon that they earn merely 9% mark-up on a new vehicle, and ergo can only justify knocking the stnd 4% off of MSRP for a hot car like the M235i. However, the dealer also gets volume rebate(s) depending on the volume of cars it sells, so in theory they probably make more than 9% on a given car. U really need to negotiate w 3 dealers to get a true sense of what the best offer to be had out there will be. Of course, if a dealer already has your preferred colour combo and options in inventory or on order, then they will move more on the price than a dealer that would have to trade to get such a car.
