Actually, that is possible but that would be super timing. I just looked it up and most cutoffs are 5 business days, which in the US translates to one week typically.
That's good news. Mine has been at port since last Thurs really hoping it makes the boat tomorrow. If not my travel plans are a little screwed.

Actually, I am a little mistaken. Typically, US ports are 5 business days or a week before departure (I shipped out of Baltimore many times). For Bremmerhaven, it appears to vary anywhere between 2 to 5+ days, depending on the voyage and the shipping line.

You should definitely be good for tomorrow unless for whatever reason the boat was full.

Here're a fixed date from Bremmerhaven to Baltimore for W&L:

SALOME CF414-SAM Departure: 17.04.2014 Acceptance Deadline: 15.04.2014 12:00

Fingers crossed! Thanks for the info. Worst case scenario dad takes delivery and has to split his time between the 235 and his new Macan until I get there. I really feel for him if it comes to that.

I would love to drive a Macan Turbo. Macan S would be fun as well.

We got him the Turbo but had them replace the badge with an S. Didn't want him knowing we upgraded him without asking. That said I have from very reputable sources that 99% of the time the two are virtually identical performance-wise especially around town and the upgrade is hardly necessary.

He's got cancer and after a good checkup / improved prognosis was going to treat himself to a new car to replace his XC60. He wanted a new Volvo wagon, it was already a fight telling him that it wasn't a proper celebration car and convincing him to get the Macan. No way we'd be able to talk him into the Turbo.

Glad to hear about the improvement and I'm sure he'll appreciate it when he figures out what he got.

Yep, he'll be stoked for sure. Already got him a custom roundel for his little toy, finally got it installed for him.

Weirdly enough it's very likely going to be right around the estimated time at Panama it's about 950 nautical miles away at the moment, and this vessel goes about 16-17/hr. It's amazing how close, but yet so far away it is haha. I'm really curious as to what the estimate of it is to arrive at Port Hueneme is. There's about a 3000 nautical mile distance between the two, so I'm guessing 7.5-8.5 days away. I'll go with the 26th at night or 27th in the morning.
LYRA LEADER is about to enter the Panama Canal!!

11 more days to reach Port Hueneme seems like an awful long time. But that may simply be that I've been waiting for 45 days since I placed my order!

I saw that as well. There might be another stop along the way? I just don't see how it should take that long either. Where are you in California by the way? I'm 30 miles south of Seattle.

Do the cars show on the Wallenius Wilhelmsen site once they are in the port or only once loaded on the ship?

I keep tracking daily but nothing on there yet and my car completed production on the 8th April so I'm hoping it'll be soon?

Call the 800 number and they'll tell you what boat you're on as well as ETA and other info. My car has been out to sea for a week now and it's still not showing up on the WW site.

I don't think there are any intermediate stops between Panama Canal and Port Hueneme. I was tracking the Asian Emperor last week, as one of our fellow 2addicts thought that my car was originally onboard that ship.

My car is being delivered by Crevier Motors in Orange County, about 30 minutes south of LA and only a couple of hours from Port Hueneme.

I've never been able to track mine on the WW website. I'm not really sure that the Lyra Leader is part of the WW fleet.

You might also try K-Line. I know they go to the West coast.

Ah nice, I love Orange County, I miss the sun quite a bit living up here haha

The Lyra Leader is a part of the NYK Line and is not a WW company. There's no way to know if you are on one of their ships without BMW specifically telling you so (your dealer or a rep from the 800 number).

Perhaps you should ask that your car be diverted to Crevier for delivery; we could take delivery together, you could get some sun, and then take a road trip back to Seattle!

You'd get your car sooner that way, too.
