Ok thanks Scott! Will this forum play a role in the development of the M2 like it was for the 1M? From the best information you have at the moment, are they looking more for a 4cyl or a detuned version of the F8X M3/M4 engine?

Dont believe the 4 cyl thing, that's just a rumor. If you really think about it that option doesnt make sense after making the M235i a 6cyl.

Maybe but you don't have to go too far back to get m cars without quad e34/e36 for example. Since the 135i didn't have the 335i's dual exhaust it was difficult to know if their primary intention was to get a quad exhaust on the 1M.
