Anyone in the U.S. with the CWP and both radiators?

Okay, let's make this even more confusing. My car is as follows:
2015 M235 xDrive (8AT)
8/14 build date
823 HOT CLIMATE VERSION
My car also has the cold weather pack, though the VIN decoder does not list it.
All-season tires

I think the bean counters got a hold of the car for 2015 its common for cars to lose non essential features after the initial launch year.

I'm glad I have a 2014 and have both mystery radiators.

My pretty well decked out M235i has both radiators.

So, does that make 4 radiators in all? Engine coolant; inter-cooler; oil cooler; transmission cooler. Perhaps 5, including the air-conditioning radiator.
A fair amount of cooling drag, but probably only noticeable approaching 155 MPH. Heh!

If you have both aux coolant radiators, 3.0L, you very well may have (get ready for it) SIX radiators:
- main coolant
- intercooler
- left-side aux coolant
- right-side aux coolant
- larger oil cooler (shaped like a book, between air box and coolant overflow/add tank, below both)
- smaller oil cooler (on top of engine just to the right of the engine cover. Smacks you in the face when you open the hood.)

That would be the case for N20 engines. Not sure about the N55 in the M235i.

I had to attend to a personal matter last evening and didn't get a chance to try out VIN decoders. I will do that tonight. In the meantime, hold off on posting your cars on this thread until I can settle on a common VIN decoder for everyone to use.

I will start a new thread tomorrow morning with submission instructions (which VIN decoder to use, other info I'll need) so I can start tabulating info. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna need to set up a spreadsheet to figure this out, and that's gonna take time.

There's got to be a reason for this -- but if it's found to be arbitrarily applied (as a result of low parts inventory, cost-cutting ... whatever, really), those of us without the driver's-side aux radiator may very well have a serious beef with BMW.

Yep.... 228ix Vert, M-Sport, CW, Tech, All Season Runflats.... One Radiator....

If I would have known, I would have made sure that the car was ordered with the Hot Climate Version.

You should have received 0823 (Hot Climate Version) automatically, bgnj; all U.S.-spec F22s should.

Everyone: Please wait until tomorrow morning for my new post regarding VIN decoding and this radiator anomaly. I will do my best to tabulate the answers already on here, but I don't want to be checking two places all the time and potentially miss some responses.

Not sure if we can say that yet. I see one 15' 228 above that has one radiator although it might not be in the US. Signature says Mars.

I really hope this doesn't effect the A/C capacity. The a/c on our previous 128 was mediocre at best in the high humidity and that was with a 6 cyl. and no heat generating turbo.
I think this is going to get interesting.

bgnj, the second aux radiator is NOT a telltale for 0823 (Hot Climate Version). We already know this; please read the entire thread. It's my understanding that ALL U.S.-market BMWs (not just the F22) are supposed to get 0823 de facto - just as, for instance, all UK-market BMWs get right-hand drive.

I'm located in NJ..... Maybe it has to do with where the car is ordered.
They had an identical car (forget if it was xdrive or not) at the NYIAS and it didn't have both aux radiators either.

My 2014 6 speed M235i is missing just auto high beams and the auto parking assist thing and I have both aux radiators.

I doubt that. However now you might have a fuel pump issue. Go figure. I thought they leaned form the N54 issues but I guess not.
