I put my order and down payment in on 6/30. Took me just under 2 months to secure an allocation/production number and production started last weekend.

If your dealership said they have an allocation they should be able to give you the production number I would think

Was scheduled to complete production 9/3, so I'm hoping mine is done and waiting to ship! Haven't called to recheck because I think it only makes the wait longer.

Luckily I was able to take a vacation and forget about it for the first couple weeks after ordering, so I was pleasantly surprised to hear it would finish production this week.

Time to forget about it again for a few weeks. This is really, really difficult.

Okay I finally got my production #; but I have no idea if the car's already built. I added it to my BMW account, but it's showing "order documented" still - I remember the site being slow to update when I ordered my 3 series, so hopefully there's been more progress. Also the 800 # seems to be having tech difficulties for the moment.

glad to hear that. Mine just finished his past week as well. Now just waiting on it to board. Btw how do we find out what ship were on?

Mine is also waiting to board a shipping vessel. Calling the toll free number constantly reminds me that there is no shipping information YET so I would assume when there is, they will provide it. I was also told that your dealership will know the name of the ship so once it boards, give them a call.

Went to an outdoor event yesterday & some completely inconsiderate turkey with a polished-to-the-max-328 had it parked where I had to walk by the stupid thing half a dozen times.

I don't even have a projected born on date for mine yet.

I feel for you. I ordered my 228i on July 21, I just got a production number, and I'm scheduled for production in week 41. At least I'm not seeing any 2's on the road which would make the wait harder.

Looks like mine is going week 39; dropped by the dealer today to get something looked at on my 3er and that seems to be the update on the 2.

My car finished production on 9/4 and has been "released to the carrier and is awaiting transportation to the port of exit". Hopefully it won't have to wait long once it makes it to the port. I'm already going crazy!

I am at port awaiting assignment to shipping vessel. Just hit that status today. Took 4 days to get to port from factory. Hoping to catch a ship this week.

"Your M235 is still in the order bank so they must be waiting on something. If it hasn't moved by next week we will call the factory rep to see whats going on"

Anybody have anything similar happen with theirs? It has only been a couple weeks and part of that was the late August shutdown stuff (or so I reckon), but nosy people want to know.

Interesting development. Finished production 9/3 but called tonight and still got "in transit to port of exit." Better catch a boat this week!
