A few days. My dealer had to supposedly trade for an allocation from a dealer in TX.

I got conformed week 36, got my VIN as well, I just hope there are no delays so it starts manufacturing next week. I cant wait. Test drove one few weeks ago and is a very fast car

I have a production number and have been told the car has been made. But they couldn't tell me what production week it was. ? Anyone know how to find out? It was completed Aug. 15. I was also told that BMW shuts done for two last weeks of August.

I ordered my 228xi in 08/02 and is also week 40!! Kind of disappointing.

I was supposed to be week 37 but just called this morning and am in production now with a date of september 9th or 10th for completion. I am very excited, by this time next month I should have my 2015 228i xdrive

Yeah I'm excited and can't wait for it to arrive! Did you ever figure out if you could submit paper for PCD?

Hmmm.
Down payment date was Aug 26. There were no allotment issues.
Rumor has it that the last of August is vacation time in BMWville. In any case I do not have a production number yet which is maybe sort of normal.
Any wild guess's on when my 235 will start production??

Yea, but as it turns out my car will likely be arriving while I am out of the country for a few weeks on vacation, and I wouldn't be able to take any more time off work to head up to SC... Honestly this dealer seemed very reluctant to do it also. Despite the great price they gave me, the experience has sort of left a bad taste in my mouth. I wonder if anyone else had this experience when they brought up wanting the PCD? Apparently it's extra paperwork for them?

Hopefully I'll be able to take delivery before the end of October given the 6-8week wait after the car is built
