I would suppose noise levels are subjective. If I suspected something was wrong, I'd look at door seal and window seal. Last and least likely thing would be sound deadening materials in door. Without knowing if you car is used or new, undamaged or in a crash... It's difficult to make guesses. Obvious answer is stop by your dealer and let them drive it. You can also compare the way both your doors close and seal. Have someone else drive, sit in passenger seat and judge noise from the other side. Lastly, everyone's hearing is different... I know one of my ears is slightly off from flying Helicopters. . |

Have the Pilot Super Sports on a 235 and at speed don't notice obtrusive wind noise.
In COMFORT mode on black-top road surface I'm aware how quiet the car is around 70mph cruising speed. On concrete surfaces I do tend to get a high level of road noise at highway speed - they may even groove the concrete for traction so that's the cause. Like others have suggested if you suspect door/window seals use a wide paint safe tape to cover those door seams and test drive. On a previous car an underbody heat shield near the driveshaft bent down into the air-flow and created a noise that sounded like a door seal defect. |

I've heard noise throught the driver's side window as well. I don't think it is window seals, it sounds more like air noise going aroud the mirror outside.

Yeah but its pretty friggen loud too. I already brought it to the dealer and they said they didn't hear any loud noise coming from the window...they must be deaf...

The only time I've ever had a wind noise from a window was when my friend didn't close the door quite enough, but it wasn't enough to have the car think the door was open. Got on the highway and there was a loud whistle. Went away after I closed the door again.

I don't hear much wind noise until I hit about 150.

I have this annoying wind noise on both side (driver and passenger). I can hear it at 120kmh or more (about 75mph).
if it wasn't for this, the sound isolation will be perfect. checking with the dealer is in the pipe, but I have a tight schedule lately. |
