With EWG, map 5 will auto tune much more effectively than without and surpass map 2. Remember though map 5 is learning up or down continuously so may not be able to provide full punch 1st WOT.

If you are commuting using very little throttle it will adapt to suit. My last point was that if you go from dads taxi to stop light drag racing - it may take a 2-3 red lights before map 5 has learnt up for WOT. Then you will be cooking on gas......

Yes...... Looking into getting a drum of it. Lol.
It totally bridges the gap between the stock M235i and the punch I used to feel in my EVO X. The car at 60-70% throttle starts to "get away" from me when on map 3. It's fun. |

Also can anyone point me in the right direction for installing the ewg connector?
I can't seem to find too much I do on it. Even on n54 tuning I only saw a 6 step install. I believe I just need to find out where the harness plugs into then insert the two wires into the correct pin locations |

I would only run map 1, 2 (depending on mods/fuel), or 5 if you don't have a way to log. You can also buy the USB cable to log and adjust tune. It's cheaper than the BT kit. I use the BT kit because it's much more convenient. |

Make sure you have some zip ties handy and try to tie the wires away from any heat sources. I wrapped my wires in gold heat tape. |

You might be able to do it from under the car (it might even be easier), but I'm not sure. |

If you have any questions feel free to pm me. The two wire pins plug into the jb4 harness. The location can be found somewhere on n54 tech |
