Final convered oil change, plus some
Welp, I'm at 47500 miles and the car had it's final service. oil change, spark plugs (super happy that I got this before the service plan expired), micro filters, and a full systems check.
The system check threw and error code for a temperature sensor in either the air intake or engine somewhere. Dealer didn't have the part in hand so I'm heading back once it's in stock. Cheers to 50k more miles! |

Nice to be able to get that all taken care of on BMW's dime.
I'm not sure if they are still doing this, but right before my last BMW was about to go out of warranty, the dealership said whether or not they can change the plugs/oil(if it is not within 1,000 miles of computer interval) is based on average amount of weekly miles driven. |

Plugs are very easy with the correct plug socket. Less than $10 on Amazon. Plugs you can get at any local auto parts store. Search the forums for the part numbers.

It makes it easier to get to if you take the rear upper cover off of the firewall and bracing. A swivel extension will also make things easier. The N20 plugs are the NGK SILZKBR8D8S and the stock N55 plugs are ZR5TPP33S. Mine are gapped to .022 because I have a JB Stage 1 tune on my 228. A lot of guys who are tuned with the M235 use the same plugs I use because they are colder.
There are plenty of vids on youtube on how to change them out and make things easier for both the N55 in the M235 and the N20. Tightening torque for the N55 plugs via Tis. Also a great resource for procedures and information for those that like to do their own maintenance. https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/f...enance/5rctKot
