Any great sales experience?

Even I'm sure everyone's experience with each sales associate can vary incredibly, I wanted to see if anyone could recommend a dealer and specific SA from the tri state area (NY-NJ-CT) they have recently worked with.

My lease is coming up and I'm looking towards a replacement, hoping to avoid the car buying horror stories and headaches.

Thanks in advance. I'll be glad to mention you when I reach out if you would like, I'm sure they'll appreciate the recommendation if you look toward's a future car.

Maybe helpful to post in the regional forum USA - NY / NJ / CT / PA as well. Although I can't comment on sales experience, Park Ave BMW has treated me well when servicing my 2'er.

Amazing deal on my '18 M240i (ordered) and flawless sales experience in San Diego with Josh (a BMW enthusiast) at BMW of San Diego. The GSM really takes good care of his sales staff, has high CS standards, and is genuinely a decent guy. A pleasure to do business here.

Friends then ordered an '18 X3 from Josh, and had the same very positive experience.

If you prefer to deal locally I'd recommend Orange County BMW. I've worked with Mark Forhescz. If anything stay away from BMW of Brooklyn, former LifeQuality BMW

Agreed, I am on my second car from OC BMW, 2014 320i and my 2017 M240i and my son bought his 2016 M3 from them. PM me if you want the name of the SA that helped us both.

For me, service is at least as important as the initial purchase, especially with a BMW, where the service cost for the first few years is built into the purchase price. You don't want to have to travel far for service, especially in the NY metro area, where traffic is usually pretty bad at all times of day.
Just spent an hour today getting another flat fixed. Damned bicycle tires on the 235! But I have insurance and they replaced the tire and threw in new wiper blades, all in less than an hour at no cost to me, along with a very good cup of coffee in a well appointed lounge area.
So look at the dealers within a reasonable radius of your home and find out about their service departments (including hours and loaner policy) before you leap into a purchase or lease.
Hint: if you can, make your move the week after Christmas, when the sales folks may have both monthly and annual quotas to meet. They will be more pliable then.

Op if you would like some additional quotes I would be glad to help. I’m down the coast a bit in Hilton Head Island SC but if you are looking for a weekend golf trip, fly down pick your car up and drive it home. I am a Client Advisor for Hilton Head BMW and would be happy to help you through your purchase/lease. I can also arrange Performance Center delivery if you would like to go that route, which if you haven’t done that yet I would highly recommend that. I will send you a PM with my contact info and if I can help in any way, great. If you want to stick closer to home I completely understand though.

Probably too far for you to consider, but I wanted to put in a good word for my local center. I've had great experiences with Burdick BMW up here in Syracuse. Certainly one to keep in mind for those allotment rarities, as they don't jack up the msrp (or at least talk that they don't - I'm not in that market).

Looks like you have a lot of good leads

IMO the key to a great buy/lease experience is to decide what you want independent of the purchase decision. Then do all the purchase/lease discussions by phone or internet. Check multiple dealerships and ask for the internet sales manager. Once you are satisfied with the deal, then you go to the dealer to just sign paperwork.

You also have invitations for long distance sales. I live in Vegas but buy almost all my cars via phone/internet in SoCal about 270 miles away because cars are typically $3K to $5K cheaper there. If you are buying new or a CPO you can buy long distance with confidence. After you agree on the deal, they pick you up at the airport, treat you like a king, and you get to drive the new wheels home.

This approach works best when you are not trading in a car as you are with end of lease. I always sell my old cars myself. If you don't like dealing with a private party sale, CarMax will give you a wholesale offer and I've found local dealerships will beat the CarMax offer to buy your car if you have a decent car.

Just another tip - find a good dealership and cultivate a relationship. Referring business helps, as does a no bullshit approach. I always end up buying cars at Sun, for example, but they know I'm going to shop around as any reasonable person would. So I tell them and others exactly what I want, get all proposals in writing, then go open kimono and share.

I recently called them as I needed CPO for GF bc she does 20k per year (which is obvs tougher than buying new since you're looking at avail inventory) and after I found one at another dealer Sun told me "I ran the ViN it's clean and it's an amazing deal, buy it there and we'll get you for the service."

So bottom line find someone honest and fair to deal with and make things easy and transparent and everyone wins.
