I talked to this guy the other day that bought his x5 from the same dealer I got my m235i and he told me the m235i wheels were designed by BBS. True?

Not sure, someone needs to look on the inside of the wheels. My dads on 335i had BBS stamped on the inside of his 225Ms that came with his car...

No, i looked and no sign of "BBS" these are made in Poland.

I had a set of e9x M3 wheels and those clearly have the "BBS" stamped

I could be wrong as BBS do make alot of bmw oem rims

Not a huge fan of the stock M235 wheels.

It's very common for companies like Enkei or BBS to make OEM wheels. So yes it's more than possible.

I remember the OEM wheels that came with my E36 and E39 before. Never had the chance to look for the BBS stamp on my E90 and F22 lately. Will check the next time my car is placed on the lift during wash.

BMW still owns the design (physical shape) of the wheel. Companies like BBS will manufacture OEM wheels. Just like HP will design a computer that is then built and manufactured by Foxconn.
