Dashboard phone mount?
Has anyone found a good solution for a dashboard phone mount? I see several options out there, but don't want to waste money on something that won't fit, or worse, that would break a plastic piece off my shiny new BMW.
I'm especially curious about: 1) CD-slot mounts 2) A/C vent mounts I have an iPhone 6, btw. |

I just bought a CD slot mount (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MWE572I)
It holds the phone fine. Its a little bouncy and I'm going to have to get some cable holders to keep the cable away from the shifter (manual), but its nice and puts the phone far enough out that it doesn't block anything. |

Those vent-holder dealies have a tendency to break your vents when it gets cold out. Plus they wobble.
Two VERY BIG thumbs up for the Proclip system. Had one on my 135 and it was rock solid. Already have one on order for my 235. Will post pics in a few weeks. |

I have the Kenu Airframe as well, first the standard and now the + version to accommodate my iPhone 6+. I wrote up my experiences with it here as well as a photo: http://e84.xbimmers.com/forums/showt...php?p=16146280
In short, they have functioned well, and I have yet to find a better solution. That said, they aren't *perfect*--the fit is a little kludgy because the knob on the vent itself is a little bit in the way. It absolutely works, but could be a small bit better. It holds the phone solidly, and it's adjustability can't be beat. Also, when empty, it has a very small footprint, and the new + version (which also works with normal size iPhone 6) is solid black, so its very unobtrusive and classy. I am a huge fan of Pro-Clip too, but with BMWs, they just don't put the phone in the position I want--this mostly has to do with the position of the vents relative to the iDrive display. Either the phone blocks the screen or I have to position the phone further away than I'd like.

I use this mount.
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MNXAFQ6/...745480_TE_item I don't use the CD slot I actually use it in between a gap in the dash as recommended in the manual you remove one half of the CD arm. It's amazing and with the magnet system it's just so quick and easy. I will post a pic tomorrow.

Plus one for Pro Clip. I had one on my Mustang GT and loved it. Custom fit to your particular vehicle.

The trick is to take the mount off with the phone, then take the phone off. Reverse the process when putting it back on.

Another plus one for the proclipusa mount.
I had one in my 135 and I upgraded the front part every time I got a different phone (iPhone 4 to 5 and now 6). I still kept that part and I'll get a new rear mount when I get my 235. http://www.proclipusa.com/ (USA)
