Brake Calipers

Impatiently waiting for my M235 and it has me thinking. The blue brake calipers won't match my black sapphire exterior and coral red interior. Rims will be coated black. Tints will be 15% front 25% back. Just wondering if any of you have painted your blue brake calipers before? Or any calipers for that matter. It just doesn't go with what i'm trying to do. Need some input on people who have done this.

Thanks

Currently facing this dilemma. Want to go red but powder coating is more expensive that I want to do so I'm speaking to my body shop regarding paint now so we'll see what they tell me.

I wish they gave us a choice. Even though I know BMW prefers the blue, still would be nice for us to choose. Let me know how much they charge you. Dm or comment on here thanks!

Plenty of people have a blue car with red interior, I can't see it looking bad as it's miles away from the inside

I've used the G2 brake caliper paint (brushed on) and it's held up for 6+ years and frankly looks factory. I would recommend that if you don't want to disassemble the brakes for powder coating.

I like the color of mine, but at least they aren't the putrid green of the carbon ceramics on the M3/4/5/6

Did this on a previous car I owned, turned out pretty well.

I had the calipers painted before delivery to match the Valencia Orange car and very happy with results....really pops and I like the coordination. Still need to replace the MSport decals. Had the mirror caps done at the same time.

^ yeah you could break the bank with the mperformance ones as an option. But I honestly think it looks fine with the colours now.

May give that a try, 6+ years that sounds good to me.

Agreed. That being said I think there are much more awkward combos than black w/ the blue. I don't think you are even given a choice on the M5, although I could definitely be wrong on that. I wouldn't paint them, but that is just my personal choice, I like it to look as OEM as possible. I have had my mirrors color matched though, which is a much better look than the awkward ferric gray with black. Enjoy the car and if you do it I would go professional if you want it to last and look clean.

This looks good on such a distinct color, I can see how the blue would look odd here. I'd put an all black M decal on them. Also I'm pretty sure I like those wheels better than the 235 wheels. If anyone reading this would be interested in a trade, mine are in perfect condition.

OP... I think the blue brakes with black sapphire look really well.

I wasn't a fan of the small brakes so I ended up switching to a big brake kit. I wanted something that would pop so I went with the lime green brakes and bronze wheels. I feel like it flows well with all the CF accents
