Great work, the car is looking good!! I also attempted the same with the covers but decided to just paint them as I am not very skilled with the wrap.

Great job and congrats on including your sons in the project. They look like OEM CF caps!

Wear gloves, but really they just pop right off. No tools necessary, just pull straight back from the mirror housing.

So, got the car back from Xpel film install and UK quartz application (more pics on that when the weather is more compliant, maybe tomorrow).

The wrap on the passenger mirror required ... readdressing as it started lifting in one area stretched too much and not held in place well enough. That done, moved onto the interior.

Today, I attacked the interior silver bits to see how hard that might be. The center console was the most stubborn, saved it for last. Door handles easily came off with the interior tools I bought (about $5). The AC vents were even easier, but applying wrap to them was more difficult. Finally attacked the center once everything else was done. It proved the easiest to wrap, but getting the center hole done is quite tricky when putting the iDrive back in. Results are below.

I can say this - the MP dry CF and alcantara is much better in person. This wrap makes it a bit darker, a little different. But the MP stuff is just much nicer all around. Maybe a year or so from now I can upgrade the rest :P

Hoping to upgrade speakers next :P

The wrap looks stunning. Did you also remove the large dash piece to cover it? Do all the silver trim pieces just pop off?

Thanks!

There is a thread on removing the F30 trim pieces, it helped. The doors handles need to be slowly worked off from the bottom up. The A/C vent pieces are worked from the door-side inwards. The center was the hardest - you should use a hook tool or one of the trim tools to help and work it slowly from the armrest forward. Work slowly and try not to break the metal clasps the pop to the door.

The A/C front pieces are the hardest to wrap, the blue piece does not separate from the rest, so cutting and trimming is particularly hard.

So, its been a while, but I finally got the HR springs installed, a proper alignment and I love the way she is riding now. Had a beautiful weekend and had to go get some photos at the local Griots in Tacoma.

Enjoy! If I get the time, will drop photos in the thread as well.

Soo.... yeah. I did those myself, loved the look, but they were unprotected and started to peel. I'm waiting to either replace the OEM with IND covers in EB or the nicer CF - I haven't decided yet, depends on where I go with the spoiler.

Good eye though!

Ahh I see. I think either way you decide to go it will end up looking great!

If you don't mind me asking a few questions... how's the interior wraps holding up and after installing the springs did you align right away or did you wait?

Thank you in advance!

I have the M Performance carbon caps. The have a clear coat over the carbon and are holding up well after a years worth of driving.

On the interior wraps, they held up well, but again - since the noob (me) did it, they started to lift up in areas and I replaced them with the MP CF interior kit. SOOOO much better now

On the springs, the alignment was done on the same day as the install. The guys at Achtuning were great and even set up the alignment with more of a track focused (better corner entry) - at least as much as they can do w/o camber plate kits. May be a future option to help save my tires over time.

Pikachu - I assume the HPDE question was to me. I did not go, the job got in the way. I had to cancel my time off for work. I will be looking for another opportunity later this summer though and there is another ACNA 2-day event at Pacific Raceways in November. If it is still warmer, like last year, this could be a great closing event before winter sets in.
