I'm in the US and that was the best warranty program of any brand.
Maintenance.. you're talking about maintenance. People keep quoting you and correcting you because you don't understand the difference between the words warranty and maintenance. Warranty has not changed, maintenance has.

BMW no longer feels as special as it once did - to ME. BMW's driving dynamics advantage has been muted and its styling and technology are unremarkable. It also seems like, maybe, BMW is starting to pursue MB and Audi versus the other way around.

Having said that, I recognize that I am no longer the target consumer. I also recognize that the U.S. is not BMW's only market and, maybe, not its most important. I'm not an SAV or I3 guy. I've owned an enjoyed a lot of BMW's but it is not clear that I'll own another.

You gotta admit Merc is creating more stylish exteriors and beautiful interiors...isn't that what luxury is about BMW? Bmw is becoming stale.

they need a 4-door 2 series.
The current 3 series is really spacious and has pretty decent handling, but it's kinda big for some customers.

The current 2 series is a cool looking car, pretty snappy and stuff, but some customers do need the extra 2 doors for small kids/other reasons. There is no 1-series hatchback option in USA, one of BMW's biggest market.

BMW found they were more often performing maintenance on cars that were bought at auction and ending up at little luxury corner lots. There is a lot more to selling cars than pleasing the .00001% of forum bros.

In the end, it's their product and their goals and objectives. If they don't meet them, something will change. They want more people to lease. They want more people to rotate out of cars. You don't want to play that game? Leave. Change brands. ??
I had to replace the rear brakes @ 20K miles and the front brakes will be replaced next week @ 22K miles... Yes I have the ///M brakes that I didn't choose, so I'm aware that the wear of the those brakes is faster, but in the past I had the brakes done on all of my cars at least one time.
I won't be leaving the brand, I'm getting ready to place another order, but the brand used to feel more special then now...
I will move on and will place my order 430i GC!!!
let the waiting game begin!!!

Maint is 3/36
Warranty is unchanged at 4/48

This is specific to 2017
