Thanks! I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm actually hoping it gets stalled a little on its way up here because if 7 days is right, I'll be in Denver on a business trip. What luck!

My CA says they won't hold it--I'm not sure if that's because other convertibles have now been cleared or if he just doesn't want to disappoint me.

(The bay area is definitely a foodie's paradise, but SoCal has great restaurants, too!)

Thanks for posting progress, InlineSixTwinScroll. Sailing through the Caribbean sounds nice right now--wish I were there! I noticed the NYK schedule says the ship is going through the Panama Canal March 28--I'm assuming that's just a typo and it will be February 28.

So who's going to monitor the live cams on the Panama Canal?!

I could write a Java program to capture still shots of the webcam every x minutes ... should be quite doable

I think the vessel operators have to book a reservation for passage through the Canal, so somewhere out there might be a schedule for the Canal itself.

Java program has been written to capture pics of the Miraflores Locks, which, I believe, is the one that people usually monitor. It works !

It captures snapshots every 30 seconds. I can configure the frequency.

After I'm done capturing pics of our ship on Saturday, I will create a GIF out of those pics.
