I read that may be the cause since there is no power or wiring being fed into that area of the car.

I just could not find a definitive answer. I have appt at the dealership next week for some other warranty issues. I just want to know if I should add this to list.

I could not find anywhere online or on the order guide that shows the "reverse side view mirror tilt" function. Forum answers have been carrying from performance package is required to power seats are required.

I've added the window sticker to this post to make clear of all the options on the car.
You don’t have mirror memory with the manual seats that remembers the return position for the mirror, the memory function is tied to the seat memory on the power seats and the selection from the position 1 or position 2 buttons on the driver’s seat.

Can confirm, you don't have it. I have manual seats in my car too and I don't have it.

Like they're saying, if you have manual seats (like I do) then you don't have the automatic tilt mirror in reverse (again, just like my car).

Sorry, that's just the way it is.

That just sucks as I depend on that tilt down when parallel parking to avoid curb rash. Sorry this is not available with the manual seats; guess one has to manually tilt the mirror as well!

You either have to have folding mirror options or memory seat for you to get tilting mirrors

Got it, thanks for the feedback everyone!

It seemed really strange to me since i've never had a BMW without this feature. I guess i kinda assumed it was standard and overlooked when buying. I really did like the ability to tilt when backing up.

Oh well the 718 doesn't have this feature either so I guess I have gotten used to it.

Can anyone confirm if you DO have the electric folding mirror option but DO NOT have the electric memory seats you will still have the passenger mirror tilt function?

Looking to order an M240i in the near future and I decided I'd go for the standard manual adjustment seats but I do use the automatically tilting passenger mirror a lot. So if I have to I'll have to select the electric seats option.

Confirmation would be appreciated

Electric front seats are now standard for the 2019 230i and 240i models. See at the pricing guide here:

But that is USA packaging. The packages differ markedly from one market to another and OP is in the UK. So only someone in the UK could answer this question. If I were OP, I might ask a dealer.
