Any one driving an M235i with Adaptive Sport Suspension? Opinions and impressions, please - is it doing its job? How does its Sport mode compare with the passive Sport suspension? Is it any higher than the latter?

All M235s come with the Adaptive Suspension. It doesn't lower the car, it adjusts the dampers on the car to provide a firmer suspension.

Perhaps in US but in Europe adaptive suspension is an option (2VF). just like topic starter I wonder if there is a big difference with or without this.

Thanks - so it's the EU thing then (the active suspension is a paid option here, with the passive one being standard - and I just need some opinion on whether it's worth thee extra penny). I have the ED/DDC on my F10 and it's so-so; neither really firm in Sport, nor soft enough for bumps and potholes in Comfort+

Any non-US M235i owner, please?

I love it, but I can't give you an idea on the difference since I don't think they offer the passive here. Comfort mode is perfect for daily driving, sport feels firm and responsive.

I don't think it is. Get the proper firm Msport suspension. I wish I could get that in the USA but here, they don't allow it. All you can get is active suspension. Very expensive to replace shocks down the road also.

Not really. Few hundred bucks at each corner. Sounds reasonable.

Anyone in EU with passive M-sport suspension (on M235i or 228i, as I *think* they are the same - pls correct me if wrong) to confirm that on long trips, not being able to make it softer would cause fatigue in an old fart with bad spine like myself?

It's definitely nice to have that option, the car rides really well in comfort. Sport mode isn't overly rough, but that all depends on the roads you drive on.

Sport mode on adaptive suspension = the stiffness of the "normal" suspension. Adaptive suspension just gives you more ride comfort when not in sport.

I tested a 1 series with adaptive suspension and it was too soft for me, even in sport. Now I have a 2 series without and (still didn't manage to drive a lot, and still running in the car) it feels as if the car is too soft for me too. The high speed damping is ok, but there is too much body roll for my liking. Mind you I am used to a Megane RS with Cup chassis, so your mileage may vary
