Full Size or Temporary Spare

Thanks for the advise on swapping out the Run Flats for conventional tires.

The car has about 18K and the run flats are about 35% used up already.

The only question I have let has to do with the spare. Has anyone gone ahead and placed a full size spare in the trunk?

Just wondering how much space did it take up.

I thought about one of those inflation kits versus a spare but I just don't feel comfortable without having a spare tire. I had a tire sliced from the sidewall before.

228i's don't come with the inflator kit

Tires are of the 205/50-17 variety. On the M235 with the non run flats, you get the inflator.

Ah I see....
A full spare in the trunk will take a lot of space...

I'm wondering the same thing. I saw a space saver spare set but was turned off by the $500 price tag. Includes tiny donut spare, wheel cover and jack set. Not sure its worth it!
