This pump thingy arrived today...

I've also got plugs and vanos actuators on the preventative maintenance list, that will be done this weekend, if not tonight.
Motor is still hot though...

Changed oil last weekend, still need to send the sample to Blackstone

Was a nice warm sunny day for a change. So I did a driveway oil change.

Old oil was super watery and did the spoon under the faucet trick. Made a bit of a mess.

Put the summer wheels on. I forgot how much of a difference they make with braking, lateral grip, fuel economy, etc.

Coded out the EDC but left the adaptive shocks on. It's too nice out today. It was odd, the module was in a Styrofoam sleeve, not even bolted to the car. Will do the swap to Koni sports another weekend.

It's when the flow is spraying uncontrollably in all directions like if there was an upturned spoon under it. It wasn't that bad, maybe lost half a quart.

After getting the $1800 quote from the dealer, I was motivated to do the brakes myself… first time changing Brembo brakes and undeniably the easiest brake job I’ve ever done.

You got your car about the same time I did. How many miles on it to need a brake job? Or were you just getting away from the dusty stock pads.

I’m at 35k. The last time I went for an oil and brake fluid change the dealer tried to panic me about the brake pads. Said I had a few hundred miles left on the rear and 1,000 or so miles on the fronts. In reality, the thinnest rear pads had a little more than 2mm and the front thinnest had more than 5mm, so not an emergency. All four rotors were +2mm over min thickness.

I replaced pads and rotors, front and back, but left the sensors since they hadn’t tripped.

Thank you.

It's a Gentian Blue 2023 GT4, built in late May 2023, original owner took possession in early July 2023. The original owner bought it, put 1800 miles on it and traded it 2 weeks ago for a 911 Dakar.

It's got the carbon buckets and Chrono pack as well as stitching in yellow. I'll post up some pics.

That thing is really nice. Would love to hear how it drives. I'm sure it's a blast.

Thank you, for me it's a dream come true and my automotive bucket list pretty much fulfilled. Initial impression, suspension is much better sorted than my M240i with Ohlins and the 240i really sticks. Power wise it doesn't have the low down pull of my tuned M240i but above 4k it hauls and the noise is damn near intoxicating, and that's to be expected the lower weight helps it feel even more agile.

The throttle response of the NA flat 6, is really impressive, exhaust note is ok, I intend to address that once my wallet stops self immolating.

Done some cheap, simple add-ons..

-Red start/stop button. Comes w a tiny glob of sticky putty but easiest way to remove the stock button is to melt one end of a hot glue stick, stick it on, let it cool, then use that to yank the old button out.

-Installed a wireless charger. My car had one of those useless coin trays..got rid of it and also removed the bottom housing of the wireless charger and used double sided tape to stick it in place. Otherwise, the charger is wedged up against the bottom of the dash and you won't have clearance to properly place your phone on the charger. Works well.

-Added a phone holder. Installed w 4 set-screws.

-Added knock-off pedal covers. Fits nice and tight and super easy to install.
