This is just blue sky stuff. Some of the beautiful clever touches shown in this concept will be in the next Phantom I expect. The look is not really the point. The side treatment., grill and headlamps and the things of note I think.

Are they expecting crash free cars in the future? Because I see no seat belts.

Yet again BMW design makes a showcase display, showing the world they are unbeatable in terms of design.

People should treat this as a design exercise, not an actual model and be thankful that at least one brand invests a colossal amount of money into such concepts.

I like it as a concept car.

I think it looks like a modern Auburn/Cord/Dusenberg. Very interesting. A living room as transportation. I don't really understand the fascination with the covered wheels that we're seeing on all the concepts. The silk twist(shag) carpet??? I like this concept quite a bit. WAY more than the BMW gold monstrosity.

I think it looks pretty cool. Sure there are some parts that dont seem practical at this time, but one its a future vision, and two its a Rolls-Royce its not meant to be your typical car.

Its very Gatsby looking in a modern way. Someone needs to start thinking outside the box because cars these days are starting to look all alike.

I actually love what they did. What an incredible job envisioning the future of luxury here, it's the best I've seen. Honestly, this thing is pure genius.

It is absolutely astounding how many people on this forum don't understand the concept of a... Concept Vehicle.

Yes the wheels are impractical, and there are no seatbelts folks. And it probably has a motor from an electric RC car. Guess what, that's ok, it is only meant to be shown as a concept, not driven on the road.

And sure enough, it doesn't look like your 3 series folks. Neither does a 2016 Phantom. And neither will the 2036 3 series look like the current model. Welcome to change. Don't get stuck in an endless Groundhog Day loop...

Oh the moaning and the bitching, it is absolutely pathetic. You guys have forgotten to dream.

People are allowed to not like it. The seatbelt comment struck me as sarcasm.

I wonder if automated cars are going to analyze driveway and curb slopes and factor in how much angle they need to approach these driveways to avoid damaging lips and side skirts, haha

Wow, what a stunning piece of automotive art, I see a lot of influence from classic boats in the design.

From the responses we all now know who not to take to art exhibits.

As both a designer & engineer, this concept is appreciated. I do empathize to those who may not like it since the design is too far out, almost exponentially. Majority of people think linearly, not exponentially.

However, it undeniably takes away the human involvement of ”driving" and that can't be denied.

For me, it looks plain creepy. Almost like an autonomous rolling funeral car.
