Those tips look too far back inside the diffuser? Is that the non-m-performance diffuser variant of the exhaust?

Yeah, agreed. I would loosen those tips and try to pull them forward a bit...or get the extenders. I think I paid around $70 for the extenders.

It's the m perf one, I'll have a look and see if they can move forward

They seem fine once the car was down tho, this was mid fitting.

Could you share a pic so I can see how yours look please?

Will do, probably later today or at the weekend. Mine's a '16 235i MPerf though, with CF tips...but, you should still be able to loosen and pull forward though. They definitely look like they're a little too far in - they should extend just passed the diffuser a bit. Pics of mine to come.

Oh yeah, from that angle they should definitely be out further. If you're not able to get them out a bit more, then you'll need the extenders. Attached pic is not from my car, but should look like this. I'll try to get mine up today.

Yah, those tips definitely need to extend beyond the diffuser (Std or M-Perf).

Before I installed the CF version they were out about the same as they are now. It's not as though they HAVE to be out further, but should be for the overall look and you should be able to see the m-perf logo on the tips as well.

Cheers BMWZ4 I'll have a play and ping the dealer a note today.

Now I'm thinking carbon tips too )

How does it sound ... well I can hear it but have to admit I was in a rush yesterday for a party so it was a short trip to take some pics of the car since the cleaned it and get back...

I'll play more at the weekend but noticeable and apparently they had to code the car? Assume for the speaker sounds lol

I got the M performance and I didn't buy the extenders and mine is way pass the bumper. Something is wrong with your setup.

mine is a '16 235.

i too have the MPE with MP diffuser, without any extenders. And it was way past the bumper. in fact, it was too far out for my liking.

Thanks guys, been in touch with the dealer and they say it looks like the whole unit needs to come forward rather than the tips alone, so they are going to sort that, and added on the carbon tips while I was at it, so when it goes back to be corrected they will add those as well.

Thanks for the feedback!

Looks like whoever installed your exhaust cut the center muffler pipe waaaay too short. This is causing the new exhaust to be pulled forward and the tips to hang under the diffuser. Curious as to how they are going to fix this because the cut seems short by more than a couple inches. And the exhaust tips shouldn't make a difference as they are basically the same except one has carbon fiber wrapped around.
