Just took Delivery!

Ordered 11/14/15 and took delivery in Chicago today 1/13/16! It's 10 degrees so isn't the best weather for a new vert, but lets hope the Cold Weather Package helps.

Mineral White Metallic, M235i xDrive Convertible / Coral Red Inside /MoonLight BLK Top / Orbit Grey Wheels

Cold Weather / HK / Tech / Drivers Asst +

Black Kidneys / CF Mirror Caps / M Performance Side Decals, I was hopping these would help add more black accents since the top is black and I think it looks great, will be even better once I can put the top down.

Pictures don't do it just, no daylight available...

Congrats! Looks great - I feel you on the weather though, Pittsburgh has been freezing and snowy the last few days...it will make it that much better though when the sun comes out and it warms up. Then you can finally drop that top!

Be careful if you plan to drive at those temps w PSS tires (think that's what you have from photos).

I originally ordered it with the PSS, but the dealer told me they missed that and got the all Seasons, but I did take his word for it so I should probably look before I drive it again...

I've been wondering if I ordered the right color car. Should I have gone AW instead of MW? Seeing your car confirmed that I made the right choice! Beautiful. I'm getting the side sills, orbit rims and black grills as well. Mine is a MW on black coupe though.

Ok just a friendly warning as the PSS are hard / slick / dangerous even if the roads are totally dry. If you got the run flat all seasons and do want to do a summer / winter setup that actually gives you a bit of flexibility as what you have, or at least think you have, is a square setup.

Arlington Heights actually so not quite Chicago. I have yet to see another M235, neighbor has a 228, but not one convertible that I have seen.

So far I love it but I am already have scheduled my second trip to dealer.

On day 1, the HVAC blower regulator went out, and last night I found a razor blade type slit in the passenger seats. Hopefully this trend doesn't continue as it only has 50 Miles on it

Great looking ride there! The wheels almost look black here, but it looks sharp.

I'm debating on the CF mirrors or getting gloss black from IND.... I wont' have any CF parts on it besides the mirrors, not sure if that would look weird but it looks good here.

I'm thinking I want those side skirts too.

I did run down after I saw your post to the garage and check, they are the all-seasons. Still seem pretty slick on snow and ice.

I debated for weeks on the mirrors and side skirts, in the end I thought I would add them to help offset the black top, so glad I did I love the look.

Congratulations! Beautiful car. I ordered mine on the same day and picked it up this past Tuesday. I have the 228 xDrive, and I was super impressed with how it handled the blinding snow I drove home in. Enjoy!

Yeah I took delivery of mine and there was an issue with my idrive where it would reset every 15-30 seconds. They fixed it and I called BMW NA (not really a dealer issue). They ended up giving me $250 to spend on the BMW catalog.

Yeah they're also run flats right? That's 99% of your problem right there. At least where you are it's pretty flat. Hills are the big issue out east. Honestly if I get another 2 after my lease is up I'm getting a second set of 17" BBS rims, same as I have now. Will do winters on one (which I have now) and on the new set a higher profile, non run flat, summer oriented set. Will sacrifice the tiny bit of handling that I don't drive hard enough to notice to actually keep the thing on the road and not in the shop with bent rims.

I agree and should have bitched to the dealer as my original idea was to do the summer PSS/ winter non-runflats on 17s. Chicago area driving you need more rubber, there are 10 potholes per mile that are way deeper then the rubber on these tires. Going to check the air pressure too, it says there is 45psi all the way around right now, may be why its hard as a rock. I got so excited the car was in I just took it lol!

I have ContiProContact SSR 205/50R17. All season, run flat. I don't know a lot about tires. I probably should have ready up more before I ordered.

No doubt we've all been there. I used to live in the west loop, Beirut roads have nothing on Chicago in the winter.

yeah I keep going back and forth, I'm going to have everything either black or white (AW) and I'm thinking the CF mirrors won't look out of place but they would be the only CF pieces I'd have.

Horrible picture and lighting but this is mine with all the black and my neighbor with nothing black. Both are MW.
