Dinmann Carbon Fiber Diffuser thread DIY and discussion

Hey all! I recently placed an order with Dinmann for what is IMO the most aggressive and best looking diffuser for the M235i on the market. Dinmann is now a sponsor on the forums. There are a couple threads here with limited discussion on this diffuser that everyone seems to want and not know much about. I'll try and help clear the air on it.

First off it arrived packaged very well and the shipping time was very fast. These are hand made on order so their is a week or so wait for the product. I see a lot of people are put off by the price. These diffusers are hand made in the USA and the work is phenomenal. The finished product is amazing and I love the look of it. It is well worth the price IMO. There is a limited deal I believe for the first 5 to order here on his thread below.

http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showt...hlight=dinmann

The installation is pretty simple and easy. I followed the MP Diffuser DIY for the installation. I luckily have a buddy that has a shop and was able to get it done on his lift which makes it a lot easier. It can be done without obliviously.
Here is the link below! Just remove 6 bolts and a push rivet easily taken off with a screwdriver below the stock diffuser and pull the clips out left to right. Its off.

http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showt...iy+mp+diffuser

Once its off the Dinmann can be put on. You will need to drill 4 holes on the bottom of the diffuser and its pretty easy. Once that's done, Snap the diffuser on with the clips and fits in nicely. It wont fit as flush as the OEM, but it fits well. Drill in 2 bolts and the two rivets snap in and you're done!

I still have the stock exhaust and tips and will be eventually upgrading. I may extend the tips out in the meantime. It sits fairly well stock. It will definitely look even better with extended tips / new exhaust. I am very happy with the look of this diffuser and the quality of the finish and the aggressive look. It glistens in the sun with the Carbon Fiber. Its worth the cost for me. Here are a few pics of the diffuser on my alpine white M235i that needs a spoiler now.

Great tips and reviews. It really makes the rear of 2 looks aggressive a lot. I'm also a fan of this diffuser, will definitely get one in the future!
Btw, i think the exhaust tips need to be bigger with this diffuser.

Thanks, I agree. I think I will search out some bigger tips next week. I couldnt find any info on anyone with a stock setup. It works, but would certainly look better with bigger / extended tips.

No problem. I have my eye on some tips on ebay that are relatively priced well on some 3.5 tips, not sure if 4.0 will clear. I may reach out to some of the other Dinmann owners to see what size they are running. I know 3.5 will clear. Not sure of the pipe diameter.

The tips don't look like they fill the opening very well, looks off to me. Also not a fan of having an aftermarket name on my car. Better tips and get rid of the white aftermarket name and I think I'd like it.

Working on the tips. I wasn't able to locate anyone that still had the stock exhaust with this diffuser so I wasn't sure what I was getting into or how it would look/fit. I would certainly recommend that anyone that is going to purchase this diffuser would need at the least the extenders with the stock exhaust. I just got some extenders in the mail today. Hoping to get that done tomorrow. Also looking at tip options with most likely the MPE.

As far as the aftermarket logo or Dinmann logo is removable.

As far as owning it for a week or so, very very happy with it and the aggressive stance.

thx again for the pics.
we are building a brand that is made and design at every stop in USA, and just like any good brand we have to make sure our parts are showing our name.
right now we still trying to find the best way to have our logos on the parts and if we are very busy we sometimes don't have time to clear over the logos.
but in the future we are going to make sure all our parts have the logo under the clear. by the way the logo is silver brushed not white. in the pass we also had the real gold vinyl logo, but it was very hard to have it cut.

just like to remind everyone, only copy parts don't have the companies they are copying the logos. they even try to copy the name by calling vorsteiner parts for V style, heritage for h style or hearts, AC Schnitzer AC style, or A style.
at this point all I can say is if u don't like the logo, then have it removed and re clear it, when u get the parts, but we are not going to have the parts send out without logo in the near future.
I understand that some people really don't like any logos on the car, and I have nothing but respect for that, but I have to think about our brand our workers and make sure we take every step to show the hard work behind our product at this point. Thx Cannan

Love the look, but that appears to be a rather large gap between the diffuser and bumper.

Looks can be deceiving. its not as flush as the oem. But unless you get down really low and inspect it, its not noticable at all. I took the up close pics to show the quality of the carbon fiber, the minimal gap is of no concern to me.

So I finally got some new tips that fill out the diffuser a lot better until I can get a exhaust down the road. Got some 3.5 Black Matte tips put on. Some crappy weather here so just a couple quick dirty car pics with them on.

Thanks! I'm in SLC, Weather started off nice in the morning and now its a torrential downpour. You could always reach out to them and see what they can do.

Your pics are so much better then other white 2'ers that have had this diffuser, how hard is it to take nice clean photos with no filters like this

Thanks! I use to have a really nice D7100 Nikon Camera, but I'm just using a Samsung cellphone for these, not using a filter or anything. Shouldn't be difficult...good weather and lighting always helps

You'll love the diffuser, it makes a unbelievable difference to the plain jane stock one.
