*Speed Warning* Please help!

I haven't driven my 228i in a week. Pulled out of the garage and every time I go over 1 mph a "speed warning" light flashes and loud annoying tone. It turns off after the car comes to complete stop. I can't find anything in the settings. Can anybody tell me how to turn this damn thing off?

Also, is it common when you leave your car for a week and certain setting are reset? I noticed that my ambient light setting were changed. One week I noticed my base/treble setting were reset. The other week my radio presets were changed. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I figured out. It was set at 4 mph. I never messed with that setting....crazy. Still doesn't explain why certain settings are resetting.

Did you ever associate a profile with your fob. Also do you use always the same fob ?

My settings have been reset twice in the past for the following reasons:
1) I coded some Kombi settings (i.e. turn off radio when I open the door) using ENET cable
2) the dealer updated the software when the car was in for service.

As a matter of fact I misplaced my fob a couple of weeks ago, so i had been using the spare. I just started using the original fob a few days ago after i found it.

Yeah for each FOB I believe there are3 profiles that each could have completely individual setting so you might've been using one of the 5 other profiles that you did not originally set up.

Could be from a low battery caused by sitting for a week. The intelligent the intelligent battery system is probably trying to save "juice" for important functions:running the engine. I put my 228i on a battery tender whenever the car sits more than 2-3 days.

Thanks for the advice. I will look into getting one of those. Which one are you using?

CTEK model MUS4.3. They're a Swedish company selling products online,so it must be available in Europe.
