I changed to "your vehicle is being transported to the port of exit" so I still hope to make INTEGRITY leaving July 6th.

Anyone make Georgia Highway? I watched it leave port today, its hauling ass at 15 knots heading towards the English Channel

My message is still "my car is at the port of exit waiting for a vessel with no information on the vessel yet" or something like that. Been around 4 days the same.

A fellow forum user asked me offline how I knew if my car was on the Carmen or not. Here's my answer. If anyone can confirm/deny my understanding, I'd welcome the feedback.

Quote:
I'm by no means an expert here but I'm pretty obsessed and spend lots of time (probably too much) on the 2addict forum and others so here's what I know at this point.

BTW, I still don't know the ship for my car. What I know is that my car arrived at the port of exit (Bramerhaven like all other BMWs) on 6/28...looking at the schedule on the WW site for boats going to Port Hueneme, CA (VPC for all cars heading to the west coast), I was led to believe I should have been on the Carmen (left on July 1st). However, I called a human (on the 800#) on the 2nd and she said my car was still at the port with no vessel information. I also put my VIN on the tracking page on the WW site with no luck:
- Track & trace on the left
- Put you VIN in the Cargo ID field (no spaces)
- You can also use the "%" char to search for any VINs starting with.
- For example, WBA1J7C55E% will show all 2014 M235i on any WW boats

I now know there are a couple of reasons why your car is NOT necessary leaving on a boat even when your car was at the port. There is some paperwork that needs to be cleared and there is just some normal backup so you can sit there in a queue. I heard this could take a week or two . On the WW tracking site, looking for random VINs (with the % trick), you can click on a specific VIN and see when it was "booked" and when is what "loaded"...in most cases the booking happens a week to 10 days before. Note that if your car is "booked" but not "loaded" I don't think it will show up in their inventory just yet. It also looks like the car could be booked way before the car actually arrives at the port. Plugging the VIN in the Vin decoder page, I was able to see the production completion date and compare it to the booking date and saw examples of cars being booked even before the car was completed! Wasn't able to see an exact pattern though.

I'm pretty sure most cars (both west and east coasts) are using WW but I know that some (especially for west coast) with use the NYK line. Some others mentioned k-line too for east coast but I haven't spent much time there.

On the NYK site, you can see the schedule of upcoming boats on https://www2.nykline.com/. Put Bramerhaven, DEU to Washington, DC (for example), you should see a few boats leaving soon. They also have a tracking system but I'm not sure if it works with just plugging a VIN like on the WW site.

Anyway, at this point, I think I'll be on the Elektra (from WW) leaving on the 12th but I guess I'll only be able to confirm once it's "loaded" on it (probably the 12th itself) once my VIN shows up in their inventory. That is unless I end up on a NYK boat. That will probably just be confirmed by the human on 800#...

Hoping I'll be at the port in time (might already be there knowing the automated messages are lagging) to catch the Carmen leaving on the July 1st!
I'm week 25. My production was started on June 15. Still waiting for the car to board on a ship. Timing is really bad, everything is delayed. Not mentioning that i placed my order April 27. (MW/CR M235i)

And integrity is now delayed by 2 days. Rescheduled to leave the port on the 8th. My production was over on June 21st, vehicle was at the port on june 25th ready for vessel. Today is July 7. Still not loaded. Go figure...

Rescheduled dates are:

INTEGRITY 08/07-22/07 (BH-SC)
TORRENS 08/07-28/07 (BH-SC)

Torrens route is much slower, crossing my fingers to get on Integrity.

I was gonna do PCD too, but I am so tired of waiting, and dealer said that PCD may possibly extend delivery time, so i decided to opt out.

Do you enter your entire vehicle VIN on a shipping carriers site?
Interested how you chk if your VIN is on a particular ship.

Unfortunately the BMW site never worked for me as to following my build.

Boom! Talked to a human yesterday afternoon and got "car still in port - no vessel info". But this morning, the automated message changed to "In Transit", so pressed zero like a mad man to talk to a human and got confirmation that my car left the port yesterday and is on the Metis Leader (from NYK Line) headed to Panama (ETA: 7/21) and Oxnard, CA (ETA: 7/31) (aka Port Hueneme)

still no movement for me

ordered late May for prod week 26
started prod June 21st
completed prod June 28th
sitting at port since July 4th (why it took a week to make the 4 hour trip from factory to port, i dunno, but it took just as long as building the car)
if that step only took 2-3 days, id probably be on a vessel by now.

so it looks like you cant track ships past Celtic Sea unless you pay for an account?

last update was 18 hours ago so I cant "follow" the vessel across the North Atlantic

anyone have a more up to date location of the Grand Duke by chance?
