In my case, I'll get the CF Shift Knob and CF Hand Brake from SunMotors and install myself. Not sure yet about the CF Rear Spoiler. I won't be able to residualize those accessories but SunMotors prices are so good that it's not too much higher that the residualized price of PIO if you're installing yourself.

Interesting, I have MPE on my order as a PIO....so hopefully I'll still get it.
Maybe no new orders?

No clue. The ordering process for PIO seems broken, random and definitely lacks transparency. My CA told me that sometimes they receive cars at dealership with just a subset of the ordered accessories. I hope you get your MPE but don't be shocked if it doesn't happen.

Just got the following mail from my CA!

We talked to the port and was able have them install the performance exhaust, exhaust tips and m pedals. Are you okay with that?

Anyone notice that the Metis Leader is currently "not under command"? I looked it up and it means the boat had a mechanical malfunction and can no longer steer. I hope nothing is too seriously wrong

The map does show it doing a strange loop. Oh well...its still going!
I wonder if it gets the "not under command" when a Tug is maneuvering it around.

I am (very) hopeful that I will get my car this weekend, assuming nothing goes wrong. My dealer is in Newport Beach and I have no PIA, so hopefully it will zip right through and get on a truck. Here's hoping...

As those guys communicate details on when their cars get out of VPC or take delivery, it might help us getting some visibility into this blackhole

Look at what my CA just sent me - ETA Seattle delivery is 8/6!

VPC was much faster than I expected (especially I had a few PIO like the M-Perf exhaust and alum pedals). Looks like they completed all of that in the first day. My car is now waiting for a truck that is estimated to leave on Sunday.

I can almost smell it!

Well surprise surprise - just called BMW N.A. and they told me my car cleared the VPC and was released to a carrier, due to be delivered on August 5. I suppose the truck doesn't leave until August 5 considering its only 2 hours from the VPC to my dealership...

patbrass, any update on yours? I just called the 1800 number again. My M3 has supposedly been released to the carrier and will be at my dealer on Thursday. I wonder if my car is on the same truck as yours. We should go camp outside the dealership to wait for our cars to show up!

I called the 1-800 number this morning and it looks my car left the VPC on a truck yesterday and is supposed to arrive sometime tomorrow in Seattle! It looks really good for me to take delivery Wednesday night
