Anyone know if the Leipzig assembly plant will be shutting down for their normal 2 week shutdown in August?

Haven't received a vin from our dealer yet and the car was ordered around July 18th, I'm having trouble with info and tracking the unit.

I'm hoping it will be built before the shutdown so it's not just sitting on the assy. Line for that long.

I'm also hearing due to high demand they're canceling their summer break. Any solid info on this?

Were you able to get you VIN? Did you find out about the Leipzig factory?
I also put my order, one week ago and haven't heard anything yet.

Yes we got our vin last week. To actually track it you have to do that on your registered BMWUSA web page via the order number. It's still in the "in production" status. I do t know why it took almost 4 weeks for the order to go through. The dealership has no answers..

The website is not updated very often for tracking info. The recording on the 800 # is a couple days behind. If you listen past the recording and request customer relations, you will get up to date info. They are not there on the weekends. You will need your production number or vin.

As are we my friend, even worse my wife is asking me every day where her car is lol..I need this thing here like yesterday our warranty on the E90 expired in July!
