Anyone book their trip before receiving the confirmation email for tentative date? I got a little trigger happy and book my trip for May 7 this weekend... Car scheduled to finish production on March 10.

Date was confirmed by my dealer to BMW but forgot about confirmation email. Oooooops.

Anyone experience a cancellation or change of date closer to delivery date?

My car was built & shipped earlier then planned. PCD contacted my dealer to see if I wanted to pick my car up earlier then my March 18th tentative scheduled date. I couldn't because of work commitments. The 18th was in their allowable window so they let me keep the original scheduled date.

My scheduled PCD date is 4/1. They told me not to submit the form till 3 weeks before that date which is tomorrow. If there is going to be delay, would I have been informed by now?

Anyone have their PCD date delayed within the last 2-3 weeks?

I'm planning to do PCD as well - how much warning do you get to book the date? My work schedule is quite flexible, but for buying plane tickets, the sooner the better! Cheapest is usually about 3 weeks out. Do they let you pick a date while the car is still on the boat?

Call your CA. They should be able to set it up once production is firm. Mine was set up just after production started (I think it can be done sooner, but my CA forgot). They'll offer you a date and you can confirm or call and take a later date (I believe within 2 weeks) if that one doesn't work. They tell you not to book anything until 3 weeks out in case things change. Right now, there's quite a lag. Several of us completed production at the beginning of February, landed in the US this week, but don't do PCD until the first week of April.

I'm one of those. I think the build was done around Feb 6. A couple days after that, I asked my CA if I could have a PCD date on a Friday in April, she asked the Delivery Center somehow, and got back to me with the April 10 date. Like everyone else, I was contacted by the PCD with a generic email, and advised not to book travel arrangements until 3 weeks prior to the scheduled date. Apr 10 will be 4 weeks out tomorrow, so I am getting anxious to book. So far, no confirmation about the date though. My status is showing the same as Supernaut, in the "Finishing Touches" stage.

I'm scheduled for April 17th and booked my plane a week or so ago. Here's to having faith in BMW!
