the Oregon Highway's trail

For those of us on the K-Line's Oregon Highway (and interested onlookers). It looks like she departed Bremerhaven on February 15 at about 2AM Bremerhaven time. Here's the schedule from K-Line and tracking from Bremerhaven to Southampton. Ship tracking, though shows the boat's current destination as Zeebrugge (2/18/15 @ 0100) and it's direction is northbound in the English Channel. There may be a schedule change in order. Anyone know otherwise? It looks like she already went through Zeebrugge as planned.

According to marinetraffic.com, arrival in Baltimore is pushed back a day to 3/1 due to the detour, we're guessing for Belgian beer.

Yup

Yep. When in Bruges (or just north of it, anyway ... ) ... she's passing Dover/Calais as I type this, heading for open Atlantic ...

My car's due to disembark on March 4 in Brunswick. Maybe she'll be ahead of schedule ... now expecting her in my hand on March 9 or 10. Since my birthday's the 15th, I'm comfortable with that.

Just found out today that mine is on the Oregon too. I have the S. Carolina PCD scheduled for Apr 10, so looks like everything is on schedule. Hopefully the New England snow is melted by then so my baby doesn't have to come home to that mess!

Cool! My PCD is April 7.

She's just passing out of the English Channel now.

You oughta see her sail past you up the Chesapeake, Supernaut, right around Feb. 28 or thereabouts ... couldn't help but notice that there are four large container/RoRo ships waiting offshore to dock in Baltimore today. Hopefully that backup clears up by the end of the month ...

Shoot, I didn't even think about that. I hope it rolls through at an hour that I can access an observation area.

She's halfway across the Atlantic. It looks like the ships all run the same route just off Cape Henry, so if the light is there, I might be able to get a picture from the beach on the 28th.

I don't think so. And this supposes that your boat can drive across Mexico.

The downside of PCD is that I'll get my car way after you've gotten yours. It's the tortoise and the hare all over again.

uh-oh

I was wondering what that winter storm in the east was gonna do to the Oregon Highway ... Overnight she diverted to an WNW track and slowed to 7 knots (she normally cruises at 15-17 knots). Boo!

I believe she has slowed down to adjust track. Doubt the storm has anything to do with it. After all these shipping companies operate year around in the North Atlantic. They also make port calls in harbors that experience extreme winter than we do.

Last I checked, her ETA to CHASN was 3/5/15.

Yeah, the storm is right in between the Oregon Highway and Baltimore. They can divert if they want; I don't want our cars banging into each other.

They've also moved back the arrival dates by a day: 3/2 for Baltimore, 3/5 for Brunswick

She's heading right for the meat of the storm, just south of 40 degrees N latitude due south of the middle of Newfoundland. She's up to 12.7 knots, though; good sign, that!
