Ya this next week or 2 will be torturous...not sure how long the exhaust will take to install at the port and my CA hasn't exactly been overly helpful or pro active. One last update before I hit the gym. I will be up late at night (or will have my program running) to monitor the live cams.

She's now headed due South, straight for the canal, and has slowed down to 11.5 kts (usual speed around 18.5 kts) for the approach !!! My approximate ETA at the Atlantic entrance of the canal is 2 hours from now - 11 pm Pacific time !

Did you see the view with all the ships? It looks like the 405 down there! I'm pathetically staring at vessel tracker on my iPad like something is actually going to happen.

She's through the Gatun locks, and is somewhere near waypoint #6 aka the "Barbacoa turn" (refer to Panama canal map posted earlier).

She was captured by my program this morning at 8.25 am Panama canal local time (5.25 am California time), going through the Atlantic ("Gatun") locks !!! I have configured a 1 second delay between the 8 frames in the GIF animation I promised you, so that you can get a real good look at her

I apologize for the low quality, but there doesn't seem to be a better cam for the Gatun locks. The Gatun locks cam updates every 60 seconds, unlike the Miraflores cam, which updates every 30 seconds.

When she goes through the Miraflores locks later today, I'll have much nicer higher quality images, because the Miraflores cam is high quality.

Let me know if you'd like the individual frames (JPG files) or if you'd like a GIF animation with a different delay setting between frames
