Is it too late to make changes to my order
I ordered my 228i last month and it's already at the port of departure. I just realized that my 228 does not have xenon lights. Is that something that can be added at the dealership or is it too late to change my lights? If it is too late, are there any good aftermarket headlights for the 2 series?

You are out of luck in terms of changing your order. I believe you can only make changes when the car is in pre production. Search online for xenon replacements.

Too late to change.
BMW accessories does sell an incandescent bulb upgrade. http://www.shopbmwusa.com/PRODUCT/39...CE-LIGHT-BULBS They do make aftermarket xenon kits. Not such a big deal having the standard bulb - people say xenon is better looking - but I kind of like the standard bulb. Last edited by overcoil; 03-10-2015 at 04:06 PM.. |

the reason I wanted the xenon lights were for the angel eyes. I don't think changing the bulbs would do it. Is there any website where I could find the factory bmw lights. I can't find them online

See if you can take another one of their cars from the lot that are similar to your configuration and has the xenons.

I guess if you're doing this, you will not have to wait for your car to arrive. Also, the dealers will be able to look up the cars that are allocated to them even before they get them on their lots. What I mean is, they will know how the cars that are allocated to them are configured. You could probably negotiate a deal on one of these although most of these cars come with all the options added on.

I talked to my dealer and he said that it's not easy finding a manual transmission 2 series especially in my price range, so he recommended to just wait till mine comes in. When it comes in next week I'll try my best to get them to instal some xenon lights even if they're used I wouldn't mind. Maybe they have some xenon lights laying around. If not then it's not too big of a deal I would go crazy if I had to wait for the production of another car.
