Hey all. I figured since this is the ordering section I will help those of you trying to lease a new 2 series. I have a buddy who is a finance director and I can tell you what the real deal is for the car you want and help you get the best deal.

Put the following
MSRP:
Cash Due at Signing (amount you are willing to give):
How many miles a year:
Lease length: (39 months best deal now)
Link to the car on dealer website OR type of car and packages you are getting on it.
Whether the car is on the lot or you have to order it.
What state you are in (for sales tax)

For reference I got a 228i M Sport fully loaded (minus track handling package) at a $43,270 MSRP for $1800 due at signing and $470 a month at 12k miles.

Best

M

MRSP: ~42,000
Originally was going to put 5k down (which I now know is retarded) however I'm willing to put down that amount in MSD installments.
15k miles (however I really only need 10-12)
228i w/ m sport, track, lighting, driver assist, heated seats, black kidneys, moonroof.
Ordered is back in December, should be here March 10
California

Originally my CA quoted me 470$ with the 5k down, I then said I really didn't want to pay more than $450 a month, CA checked, came back 5 seconds later and said that was fine. I sort of realized at that time I should have asked for an even lower payment considering how quickly that was approved.

Luckily I've learned a lot from everyone here while waiting for the car and I haven't officially signed anything other than putting 1k down for the order (which even that I now know isn't always necessary).

So when I go in to discuss numbers in a couple weeks, I'm going to do the 39 month, 12k miles. If I'm willing to put 5k into MSDs what should I be looking for as far as a monthly payment? Based on yours I'm guessing far less than $470/month?

Other notes, 1st time buyer but apparently I qualified in the top credit tier.

Thanks in advance!

Hey man, here ya go:

First negotiate the price down to $40,500 that's the best you'll get on a car you ordered and not on their lot.

Make sure they give you the base money factor of .00130 (basically your interest rate used to calculate the lease rental fee).

You should go to your CA and say you want this deal:
$3,000 due at singing (including your 1k deposit)
$443 a month for 12k miles (including California sales tax) out the door

He can definitely do the deal at $4k due at signing including your 1k deposit. Now he will push back on the above $3k deal, but ask for the manager because he can afford to give you the above deal. Managers don't give a shit about salesman commission they just want to move inventory.

Let me know how it goes.

But don't settle for anything more than $450 a month with 4k due at signing.

You are looking at about $45,400 final negotiated price, including everything, given that it is a special order but could possibly do better.

With $4k due at signing for 10k miles a year for 39 months you should be at $451.94 a month with taxes and everything out of the door.

Make sure they are giving you the base money factor of .00130 and don't settle for anything more than 4k due at signing and $500 a month.

Thank you very much! Does this factor in the LSD? Do you think I can get the same price if I hold off until may/june?

Prices will likely be the same but the earlier you lock in the numbers the better chance you have not to lose it if it's on the lot.

Also it doesn't factor LSD, my buddy says that is super dealer specific.

Hello,

I'm new to the forums but have been browsing around and thankfully everyone's knowledge has been very helpful.

In reading your thread can you advise on purchase also or only lease? My order just finished production but who knows how long before I actually take delivery. I'm leaning more towards a purchase but don't really know what a fair price would be. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

mr smarty pants lawyer dude doesn't even know that numbers have changed this month.

2 series leases are back at 36 months. .00129 mf. 62 residual @ 10k miles.

And BTW. Never put money down on a lease. MSD are ok, but no money down.

Total your car and kiss that money good bye.

Just keep it in the bank and use it for your monthly payment instead

Last month I ordered a 228i with sport package and black grill the msrp is $35,480. 39 months and 15k miles. I ordered the car in Florida. It should be arriving the first week of april. The deal that I got was $448/month with $650 due at signing plus $3150 in msd. Is this a good deal or is there still some room for negotiating?

M235i convertible hopefully! :/

I've been missing a lot of something when my 2011 128i convertible went away. Since July 13' I have been leasing a 14' 320I sedan. The non-premium sound (it's not even an option for the 320I) is the worst thing about it. I also thought when I got the 128i that since it was my first ever 2 door car...I would never go back to another 4 door. Unfortunately I did. There was No real choices in convertibles at the time. There was no 4 series coupes yet. ++There was no 4 series convertible yet and I didn't want a left over parts bin 1 series convertible or E92 3 convertible. I couldn't even order a 1 series convertible in July 13'. Had to be off the lot. Wasn't interested. Wanted to wait for a 2 Series!

*The main reason for this post is because I want to attempt to get back into a 6cyl in a convertible. I miss the 128i's sound with the top down.
My 320i's lease End is coming in 15 months or so....and I'm going to attempt to go all-in to get a M235i convertible with NAV and HK sound.

I have questions about leasing. I know it may be silly to do this but I want to keep monthly payments down as low as possible. I have $7000 to use for a down payment, and since the M235i is almost $56,000... A little more than the avg monthly payment may save me 50 bucks or so on the monthly payment.

AS a reference my $44,700 128i Convertible was $399 with $5000 down. That's what I put down and what I paid previously. 10k per year miles. Put 22k on it in 3 years.

--With a car costing $55,795, I figure that It may be impossible to lease it for under $500 a month. I'm going to try to see if I can do that. Plan on putting $7,000 down and using my small $500 off BMW CCA discount. Would be nice to get a 235i...always wanted to drive a car with a turbo-six I'm no leasing expert & I know it's crazy to put $7,000 down but the reason is to get payments Lower than $500 a month.

Any advice/input is appreciated.

Don't put money down on a lease. Keep it in your bank account and use it to supplement your payments.

You could use it to max MSDs which would reduce your money factor.

can i get a better deal than this?

Here is the car/deal I have a security deposit on.

I have not signed the lease agreement yet... just that one sheet of paper to do the security deposit which I can get refunded if I don't sign.

They did a dealer swap from a dealer in PA and I got them to waive the $750 transportation fee to truck the vehicle to the new Jersey. It is arriving at the dealership in nj on monday (2 days from now).

MSRP of my m235xi $53,225
Sale price $49,925.00
36 month lease X 12,000 miles year residual is 61% of MSRP = $32,467.25
Money factor 0.00140
I was told I got approved for tier 1 credit
my 3 fico scores are 723, 710 and 710
Total due at drive off $1,800.81 includes 1st months lease payment
Balance due BMW 35 months x $659.81 includes all NJ tax-fees.

I am pretty much just paying fees upfront and the taxes are being rolled into the monthly payment.

Packages I have
cold weather package
technology package
Driver assist package
premium package

Harmon kardon sound system.

I want to keep the upfront costs at 1800.00 or so.

I thought the lowest money factor I could get was 0.00130. They are marking up the money factor to 0.00140.

Can I get a better deal that what I have here?
