Please lean as far away as possible from that. That looks hideous imo.

LOL....just wondering, for you is it the color or the coverage? Can you imagine this being different on EB for example?

I didn't like this outcome either.

Yeah stay away from any and all combinations of that. I was originally going to get the black ones for my MG but after seeing it in person I like the chrome as it goes with the chrome in the headlamp assembly.

It's the coverage for me. EB would look just as bad.

Yea not a fan either. I am going to go black grills myself. I had thought about body color but the black gives it a more aggressive look.

I agree. For my MG, I was also going to do black but found that it matches nicely as is. I do prefer the black on some of the other colors though.

Yep think black looks better on all but MG or Black.

+1 i think its the contrast you get against the other colors. It matches up well with the shadow trim around the door windows.

Hi, the body color mirror caps and diffuser look so much better! Who painted them for you? BMW dealer? Or private shop? Separately, is the piped in engine sound only on in sport mode.?

Anyone think about going with dark chrome grille surround and dark chrome mirror covers to match the logos a bit better? I've got my old mirrors and grilles sitting around so I might just paint them up for the heck of it.

Thanks.
It was a shop the dealer uses "Airport road auto body" (BMW certified). This was apart of my deal for buying the car. You could still use the auto body shop outside of the dealer. The engine i do not know. sorry

You know if the mirrors, diffuser and grill matched colors (gray, silver, black, whatever) i think i may have left them. But being dark gray, light silver and chrome was just all over place. Didn't have a good flow to the paint scheme IMO. Coming from an older e36 estoril blue M3 it just looks better all body color.

+1 I think many of us are just looking for the path of least resistance to reduce the number of different finishes for a cleaner overall look. Changing black trim and wheel color is hard/expensive, so matching to body color and/or black as appropriate is the easiest way to go.

I'm waiting for my AW mirror covers to come in from IND....I also ordered the rear reflectors. I'll post up pics once installed. The mismatch diffuser IMO makes the car look outdated. Similar to older e36 models.
