What is the rumor consensus on when the LCI facelift will occur for the 2 series? I've seen a few scant references to 2017. Are there any other clues out there right now?

It's only going to be a little plastic change maybe or like the 1 series coupe it did not have a face lift.

They will prob also ditch the n55 motor like they did with the 3 series

They don't have a guaranteed cycle, so 2017 would be the earliest, but it could also be 2018. (The F30 was introduced in 2012, and LCI'ed in '16, so 4 years). That same cycle would put the 2 LCI in 2018.

The 1 series had a facelift, headlights and tail lights at the very least

I'm hoping for a LCI in 2017. I was going to purchase a 2016 but might just wait it out...

I'm talking about the 1 series coupe before the 2 series coupe took over October 2013

Yes the 1 series 2 & 4 door hatch back has had a face lift.

I know, I was talking about the 1 series coupe as well, at least in the US. It got LCI headlights and LCI tail lights in 2012.
