What's your a main/side car?
I don't own 2 series yet, but I plan to later. I'm just wondering what you guys drive or will drive besides the 2 series as either a main or side car to the 2 series. I'm planning to go full swing on getting m2 as I trade in my 128i(or sell to a 3rd party). If I do that and pay off all my financing in the future, then I might have to look at some daily driver car since I'm gonna make the m2 the side car. Now question being, should I go one of those economy car with V-6 (Accord or Camry) or go full swing again on the main car like getting Benz E-Class?? I might go with Camry maybe tho. What's your guy's current position or future position on that????
P.S. I know I thinking way long term here about my situation. |

Acura TSX
1990 R32 GTR The M235i is my daily, the TSX is my wife's. The GTR is the side car. I recommend a Honda as a daily! Hardly ever needs anything other than oil and filter changes. |

I drive my m sport 228 as my only car, even on days where we get 8" of snow. My car isn't even an xdrive. With snow tires its awesome!
My wife does have a Jetta Sportwagen though...I use it only when we need the room. Even with a 2 month old we still typically use the 2 for everything. Trunk fits all the baby stuff just fine. |

I'd recommend against an Accord V6, only because it over-steers VERY badly - at least the coupe version, I don't know about the 4-door. I drove a V6 Accord coupe recently, and was shocked at how poorly it handled. I've driven a 2014 4-cylinder Accord a lot, and can tell you that it steers MUCH better than the V6 version. My experience indicates that by far the best handling Japanese car in that size and price range is the Mazda 6. My soon-to-arrive 228i will be my daily driver (unless I need to haul something in the truck); and when I need a bigger back seat and 4-doors, I'll use my wife's X3. Daily is the M235, my wifes car/my alternate is a '14 Jeep Cherokee. Convertible is not the ideal car for going camping/mountain biking, and the convertible is my wifes preferred choice for beach trips, so we trade fairly often.

Personally, my DD is an E36 M3. I also have a 97 4Runner that gets driven like once every 2 weeks (mostly to haul dogs). My weekend car is an E92 M3. Looking to add an M2 in a year and a half.

The '16 M235i I'm getting in Sep/Oct will be my DD; until then I'll continue to drive my dying '01 Maxima SE that we'd gotten new 15 years ago.
My wife has a '10 Crosstour that we'll generally be using when hauling large amounts of stuff, and which will likely be the primary baby-towing vehicle (assuming we're blessed to have kids come into our life over the next 5+ years I plan to have the BMW). |

I have a 2013 Mini Cooper S that I primarily drive during the winter, and in the rest of the year I drive my m235i. But really depending on my mood during the summer I'll drive either.

I try to drive my 2014 M235i every chance I get. However, our 2012 Mercedez Benz GLK350 is more our daily driver. I say "our" because my wife likes the MB more than the Bimmer. It's not that she doesn't like the M235i; it's that the car is quicker in all regards and this can upset her inner ear vertigo problem. When I do coax her into the M235i, I have to keep it the Comfort mode and drive real smooth. Then, she's ok with it.
But when I'm alone in the M235i...
