I'm a sucker for dual slat grilles, so I'll probably be snagging those first.

I've heard the ones from jbspeed are good.

Oh, and in an extreme case of "when OCD goes wrong" I pulled off the Proclip logo, plasti dipped it and reinstalled. Couldn't just discard because there's a screw udner there that's not that nice to look at.

I've got a completely stock 220i and I'm finally looking to get some mods done, its Valencia Orange. Anything I should be looking at in particular? I'm planning on getting a JB4 tune done and getting new tyres. I'm in Sydney keep in mind. Thank you in advance

I have the gloss ones on mine and I am satisfied with them. Good quality.

I bought the JBSpeed dual slat grills. They're a 2 part construction (frame and slats).
I preferred a less aggressive look so I used the OEM chrome frames and the JBSpeed dual slats.
BTW, The leftover parts (black frame and black OEM single slats) make for a perfect M Performance grill...

My next mod will definitely be a new exhaust, probably the M Performance one. I plan on getting that in a few months.

Very nice. Prefer this look definitely to the all black grill.
I guess you still need to remove the grill completely to install the dual slats? Seems to be a pita the grill removal. Or is it not too bad?

Yes the OEM grills will need to be removed from the vehicle and the slats will need to be removed from both sets of grills and swapped - but that latter part is super simple.
The removal of the grills from the vehicle is a bit more problematic - although not for me.
I had it done when I took delivery of my M235i. I brought the SBPeed dual slat grills with me and asked them to replace the single OEM slats with the dual slats. I didn't get charged for it.
I understand that some of the service guys know how to pull them out in a single tug, so it may be very simple thing for them.
There is at least one thread on the 2Addicts forum showing several ways to remove the grills.
BTW, If you're on good terms with your service guys, they may do you a solid.

I've added the following so far to the car:

* Mini 0805 dashcam, power tapped from rearview mirror,
View post on imgur.com

* Opticoat
* Xpel door edge protectors
* Magnetic tablet mount (Nexus 7 slides over one of the cup holders and clicks into place)
* Pedalbox - this is a biggie since it eliminates the throttle response dead zone for the first few degrees of travel and makes heel and toe bearable for me.

That is superb, how did you install it? Did the stars align and it just magically fit? or was there some fabrication involved? That is a perfect solution to semi-spirited drives back from the grocery store.

A photo of the mounting solution would be greatly appreciated!

The spots to mount the hooks are really up to you but if you hold them up you will see a couple obvious locations underneath where they fit flat against the sheet metal and are still convenient to see and reach as you look into the trunk. Just as the OEM factory hooks are attached, you drill pilot holes, 1/16 if I recall, then secure with stainless steel sheet metal screws.

When I take delivery next Friday the first thing I want to do is have the BMW factory LSD installed, followed by black grille inserts. That's about it.

My #1 mod is the Enzo Tune, but the Bimmertech Amp is pretty close, now that they have a tune for my system.

My most wanted mod is a wide body kit, followed closely by a carbon fiber roof. =D
