Official ESTORIL BLUE II 2 Series Coupe/Convertible Thread

I always get this grand idea of a photo or photo shoot that I want to do with this car...but then I get lazy. I'll eventually get around to doing the shoot that I want but here's a quick one for now:

I've always wanted an Estoril Blue E36 M3, but I ended up with a Hellrot and an Alpine White instead. When deciding on this car I was really tempted to get another red but decided on EB and I'm glad I did.

Looks good. I had a 99 E36 M3 estoril blue with black interior years back. It was a great car and sometimes wish i still had it. Just simple raw driving.

The E36 will always be one of my favorite BMW's. I still have my Alpine E36M3.

I'm still waiting for my M235i arrive (did ED in early Nov.), but I thought I'd ask this question here after looking through the thread: how many people kept the stock grills because they actually liked them better than the M performance ones (as opposed to keeping them because they didn't want to pay for them

)? If I had MW/AW, getting the black grills would be a no-brainer, but on the EB I think I may actually like the stock ones better...

Hey bro, not sure if you noticed but you have two different style kidney grills on your car. Count the slats...

WTH my dad has an estoril blue M235i and he got two different style grilles too lol

The grille with the 8 slats is the correct one. The vendor my dad got it from sent him the correct slat real quick after he contacted them about it.

It's funny we installed the grilles and didn't even notice. It wasn't until the car was detailed and the detailer pointed out that we had different style grilles.

This happened to me as well. I ordered the performance (black) grills and it took 3 times to get the correct setup. I just ended up swapping the black surround so i could have my car correct and figure out the swap with the company after. Worked out fine. they paid for all returns and new ones overnighting them quickly.

Well, the parts did. I ordered them from getbmwparts.com and they must have sent me two different ones. Odd that there are different styles that are the exact same size otherwise.
