PrazVT's '15 228i M Sport Track

Hey Guys! Well, after a long 2+ months my car finally arrived on Wednesday but due to work and rain, I hadn't had time to take photos. Here's my config:

BSM + Coral Red / Aluminum Hex
M Sport pkg
Track Handling pkg
Premium pkg
Tech pkg
Lighting pkg
Heated seats
Enhance bluetooth / USB
6MT
M Perf mats
*black grills
*stainless steel pedals
*Perma Plate

*pending install

The only screw-up on BMW's part is that they put the wrong shift knob on the car; instead of the M shifter they put the Sport shift knob (ala my 328i Sport's shift knob). My CA is taking care of it so hopefully that gets resolved without too much issue.

Otherwise, I love this car; even though the engine is the same as my F30 328i, the engine note is much nicer. Pick-up feels much stronger and the car's been a joy on the twisties

Not planning too many mods (b/c I've never done that before). I may get a cold air intake to start with.

Looks gorgeous! Mine is arriving in LA next Wednesday, and will hopefully be ready for pickup from East Bay BMW a week or so after that!

Mine arrived at the dealer on Tuesday - so took about 5 days from reaching port to get to the dealer. So hopefully yours will be here in about the same time!

The minute the BMW tracking # says 'in transit' again and the site says 'finishing touches', you're like a day or two away

The wheels are perfect and much better than the M235i's stock ones for sure. And I want those mats now!

I'm also coming from an F30 so I'm glad to hear you like the change. Congrats!

Congrats! Great looking car. No wonder EB hardly has any F22's for sale. Most of their allocations seem to have been pre-sold (especially M235s), so hardly any are on their lot.

Yeah, from what my CA said, they've pre-sold all of their allocations for the M235i since the beginning. I was able to get a test drive in their demo M235i a couple days after they received it in February. They let someone buy that one a few weeks after that, and haven't had a replacement demo or any other M235i's on their lot since then, with only like one or two 228i's on the lot during that whole period as well.

I ordered mine in early September and they only had a single allocation left for that month, and their soonest build slot was late October. Definitely a popular car. No wonder it was hard to get any discount at all off MSRP around the Bay Area up until last month or so.

So far:

- The climate control isn't warming up to the target temperature; it basically blows cold air unless you set the temp to 79F

- There's no 'white' daytime backlight on the instrument cluster (speedo + tach). The cluster does light up orange at night, but there's nothing during the day. My '12 328i had the white light that changed to orange and night, so I assumed my better equipped '15 228i would have it.

Killramos replied in my thread on that topic in the navi/electronics section that there indeed is a backlight during the day; assuming that's true then I have a problem. Can anyone else confirm/deny on this?
