9/13 - car leaves Germany en route to California
10/10 - car arrives in california
10/20 - car arrives at my dealership
10/22 - I take delivery

So without the delay between placing my order and production starting, I would have been within the 6-8 week range. As far as getting from the port to the dealership, there are a lot of variables there... how long to get through the VPC, how long to get on a truck, how many other stops that truck has to make... Mine took 10 days, but hopefully that's on the longer side.
i wonder why it took from 9/13 to 10/10 to cross the ocean? wtf thats almost 30 days to cross the ocean.

It went to California. So it had to go Southwest from Germany all the way to the Panama Canal, then Northwest back up along the coast of Central America to Oxnard, CA. It's probably about twice as far as just going straight across to NY or thereabouts. My car is arriving there tomorrow, 11/19, and left Bremerhaven on 10/23.

$60 each from getbmwparts.com They're not hard to install yourself.

Thanks for the information. I already replaced one on my 335i - yes it is easy.
I looked up the site but cannot find one with the three colored bars. Is this an add-on or did I missed it?

Oh the M stripes are just stickers I put on the grille. You can find them on eBay or several other sites. Just search for "M grille stripes"

The M colored slats are non-OEM decals. Here you go.
