My 2016 M235i was an August, 2015 build and arrived at the dealership September, 2015 where it spent most of it's life on the showroom floor. I assume it was a customer ordered vehicle as it's an Alpine White convertible with 6MT with Heated Seats, Moonlight Black Top, Black Dakota with Fineline Stream Wood and M Performance Black Kidney Grills, M Performance Exhaust, and M Performance Rocker Panel Side Decals. MSRP was $58150. The dealership was sold to new owners in April, so it was purchased by the dealership ownership group as part of the dealership package. I only mention this because the new owners have been much more aggressive when it comes to pricing than the previous owners. At any rate it was discounted on their web site by $5K in September. In October they dropped it another $1K and another $1K in November. The weekend after Thanksgiving they dropped it another $1.5K on the website. I first saw the car back in June, and again saw it in the showroom in early August when we were shopping for a new vehicle for my wife and looking at an X3 (my wife liked the Audi Q5 better). When I saw the 3rd price drop after Thanksgiving, I decided to go in and make an offer, just to see what would happen. As it happened, I couldn't get to the dealership until the second weekend of December. I offered $47.5K figuring I'd buy if I could get it for $48.5K. They said no, but after a few back and forths, we settled on $48,150 or $10K off MSRP.

It wasn't my perfect car as I'd have preferred a different color interior and exterior and would have skipped the M Performance upgrades. I also was leaning toward an AT as my wife would have preferred that. All said and done thought I am extremely happy with my new M235i Convertible, especially since I was able to get what I considered a great deal.

Something to consider, 2015 and 2016 MY BMW's have the 4 year maintenance plans whereas the 17's only have 3 year plans with a 4th year available for an additional approximate $2k. If I liked the car in question and I were you, I'd offer about $12K off MSRP and see where that goes.

Best of luck.

The dealer where the OP found the '15 235 has nine (!) 2015 BMWs still on their website. Admittedly, one is an i8, but, still, eight new 1.5 year-old Bimmers on the lot!

I have family in the area, and was considering shopping in Northern Virginia when I go shopping for a 240 in the spring. It sounds as if this dealership is one to avoid.

Or, go there for the entertainment value ; )

+1 I've decided to go for an M2. And after calling around to multiple DMV dealerships, this one has left a poor taste.

Initial response for the 2015 M235i was great. Fast, responsive, and helpful. Then I asked about M2 allocations. At first it was, we can get you an allocation, but it will take 8 months. Then it was someone backed out, call you in an hour. No one ever called, CA is unresponsive, and I even left a VM for the GM. No return call. Meanwhile, almost every other dealership I've called about an M2 has been communicative and honest.

Wow, guess they don't need to sell cars to stay in business. Our local dealership doesn't have any 2015's but they still have 36 2016's, most of them discounted about 5% off MSRP with the an I8 and several 5 Series discounted 11-12% off MSRP on their web site. Best of luck with the M2.

An M2--hope it works out for you, and enjoy!

Consider doing Performance Center delivery. I didn't when I ordered my '13, and I regret it.

A 240 will be enough for this old pile of bones ; ) Though, I will likely order one, because I've driven manuals for 35 years, and I'm not quite ready to give it up.

I can say that I once blew a run-flat while visiting family, in my '09 1-series. BMW of Fairfax was helpful, and polite. I'll probably check them out in the spring.

Definitely considering PCD! And also agree on Fairfax - we had a similar issue while visiting D.C. and they took good care of us as well. Unfortunately for the M2 I've heard they're very slow to get allocations.

There is currently one on their showroom floor now for the low price of 66k! BSM with some (in my opinion) stupid m decal stickers all over it.

Seem like good people over there and have done business with them, but this area in general just seems to be notoriously expensive.
