New order time frame

well its been 3 weeks today that i ordered my 2er...I was given a production number the following day as i signed the paperwork at 8:40 and the manager was closing down.

Im still on "order received" and when I called BMW NA says that the info was received but couldn't give me a production week or anything other then that the order is confirmed

What Gives? at this point im thinking i should cancel the order and resubmit for a 2015 when the order banks open up

Same here.. 4/15 is when I flipped to 150.

Called today and still no change... if it does not flip tomorrow then I'd be worried about the car truly being done with production by the 5/9 as from what I have seen it takes about 7 business days to get through production.

That is what I have trouble understanding.....I signed the agreement and put the deposit down on 4/19 and it was showing in their system on 4/21 and no production number as of today.....4/30

just saw this! posted on another thread, but how does this affect us who ordered already? do we simply go to our CA and ask for 1k off?!

Depends.. the way I understand is that you 'should' be able to have your dealer include this incentive since you have not yet taken delivery of your car but I don't know as I have not tried yet. Going to wait a little longer into May.

thanks man. any upside to waiting to bring it up later vs now?

Not really.. I've just bugged my CA/dealer enough as of late. I feel I've gotta give them time before I throw another curve ball at them. This allowance is active until June 2nd.

I think given the price tag of these cars, you've earned the "right" to bug them. you didn't buy a toaster at Sears.

When I inquired on Monday they told me they had allocation for April and May and that the factory just has not picked up my order. Is this not true? The order was created on the 17th and deposit put down and went into the database on the 19th. As of today May 1st stil no chassis number or production confirmation. So I just called the BMW CS number and I got someone on the phone telling me they see an "Estimated Production Completion Date" of May 9th and a "Confirmed" Completion Date of May 19th....... That would mean my car will have been In Production for over a month.. wtf.

I placed my order also on Saturday 4/19, I had a production number on Monday 4/21. Been in "order documented" stage ever since. Called BMW today, 5/1 and they stated it is scheduled to begin production on 5/19.

If the BMW CSR always has more up to date information that the !?!?!? tracking tool in MyBMW, that means there are no API's or Web Services that connect their ACTUAL production tracking system with the online version for BMW owners - and that it is a MANUAL data entry that is behind, or it is a batch data dump that is also behind.

Ok I got the scoop for my case, the dealer was out of allocation for April

When I first approached them to deal they had 1 slot but it filed prior to me nailing the deal. Oh well....so even though the order was in BMW does not look at it. Now I wait till the new allocation numbers arrive to the dealer for May which they say is around the 4th or 5th...then I am supposed to be first in line.......ERod1020 should be right behind me.

So the wait continues...they also said the will lock in what ever the best incentive is at the time. I forgot to asi if that still applies if I finance thru someone other than BMW....

Congrats on the update. The dealer allocation is frustrating to say the least.. but I guess that's how it is with newly released cars.
