Finally, the wait is over! Ordered in January, Delivered in July.

Well I placed the order in January got delayed production in April and finally, I got the car yesterday. When I picked her up, she was parked in between the M3 and M4 and ask the sales advisor why. He said that my car was the first M235i in Bahrain. Even though this one was the longest wait I have ever experienced I guess it's all worth it. Here are some pics of my California specs estoril blue, terra dakota leather, premium and technology package (mixed summer tires and came with mobility kit, early warning sign triangle, trunk nets and first aid kit). I drove for about 100 miles yesterday and it was hard to keep under 4500 rpm but I have to be patient. Since I waited 7 months, another 1100 miles before the end of this week should'nt be that hard. I will drive around the island to Bahrain international circuit, head to the Saudi Arabian border and see most of Bahrain. Most of the locals here buy high end cars and if you want to see one of those, they probably have it park at the Adliya restaurant alley during dinner time. Anyway, I got a lot of thumbs up and smiles from the locals when I was cruising around yesterday. These pics were taken at Amwaj island where yatchs and luxury cars are a common sight and were a guy in a Ferrari came along side and gave me a thumbs up.

The M4 on my left was the same one they have on display inside the mall. The M3 was blue. It was like 105 degrees when I picked her up. I have kept the same smile even in my sleep during the last two days

Thank you all for the congrats. I will try my best to get the real pic of the terra dakota as I see it and post it here. Honestly, it's like dark brown and my pic of the interior did not do justice. OBTW, for $2.65 I get two and half gallons of premium gas or 10 liters here. Should I even worry driving it in ECO PRO during break in?

First 500 miles completed this weekend. 700 more to go. Started from my flat in diplomatic area to the Saudi Arabian border then to Bahrain International Circuit then I went as far as I can go North past Amwaj Islands (future location of International City) then to Durrat Al Bahrain ( Bahrain's version of the Palm Dubai). Lots of open road and it was hard to stay at 65MPH and under 300 RPM. I try to finish breaking her in by the end of the week.
