AnooooOh, what a neat combination in your car! We only have the choice of vinyl seats or leather seats in the USA. It looks like you get a choice of suede seats and steering wheel with contrasting stitching! Very cool!

The sunroof is an option over here, like nav or anything else!

Thank you!

The seats are recaros. black leather like the stock seats.
The steering wheel does not have a contrast stitching.
So everything works well together. Looks almost like stock with these seat option!

Hey! Great upgrade. I am planning to do it too on my F30 M Sport wheels.

I notice when I was about to order that the part number for M3/M4 is different than the M5/M6. Would you know what the difference might be, if any?

And are they direct plug and play retrofit?

The m4 paddles are a plug and play fit. takes about 10 minutes.

The m6 paddles are almost plug and play.
You just have to put the electronics from your stock paddles into the new cases. takes about 2 minutes more.

Oh you will love the feeling!

Thanks for clarifying. So you will suggest getting the M4 paddle as it's easier to install. Do they look the same (m4 paddle vs m6 paddle) cosmetically?

Can you give the part number(s) for the M3/M4 Shifter Paddles? I could only find the M5/M6 part number. Thanks! Car is looking great.

yes they look the same.

I would get the m6 ones again, since you can get them pretty cheap via ebay.
never seen m4 paddles on there. and when you buy them new, the cost a lot.
the installation is not much harder. it`s almost the same.
you just need to plug out the electronics. thats all.

http://www.ebay.de/itm/Lenkrad-BMW-M...item3a94552bbf

here is a set. costs less than half of its price at the dealer.
it just would be stupid to pay all that money more just to safe 5 minutes of simple work.

Hey thanks a lot. Did you order from ebay also? Are they OEM?

Did you have to order the "set of screws" or can you use the existing screws that hold the existing paddle shifter?

Thanks,

dL

Yes, I got mine from ebay and yes they are oem.

You don`t need another set of screws.
It`s just a simple swap.

Get the set and you will love the feeling!

What did you get to remove the active sound? I thought that could be removed by coding...

Also, I may have missed it, but I am curious what combination of parts were required in order for the Recaro seats to be installed. This is something I am interested in for my car once it arrives. I would like something better suited for track use, and also lower the seat height compared to stock.

I will post a picture of the part tomorrow. It`s kind of a module.

You need the seats, brackets from the 1 series, a good coder for the airbags and an even better electrician to get everything running.
it really was a pita!

I suppose it would simplify things then if I put seats in without airbags or heating functionality

I installed the same seats in '13 WRX and had get a donor passenger seat to install the electronics for passenger sensor. Not a very fun install job, but it did work well and the seat heaters it was worth the extra trouble too.

yes! that would be a simple solution.
you`ll just have to get the airbags coded.
otherwise you`ll get codes and the passenger airbag won`t react in case of an accident.

I wouldn`t want to miss that function either!

Where can I buy those wheels in America? Does Manhart have U.S. distributors?
