$1000 bmw UDE (unforgettable Driving Event)
Quick question regarding the $1000 UDE
Does the dealer know once you've obtained the $1000 credit ? Meaning, do we negoiate price of car and THEN spring it on him, deduct $1000 on final negioation ? Or does dealer already know you have $1000 credit coming ? Kinda sketchy if dealer already knows you have added $1000 credit coming, then theyre morw likely not to give you better deal on final sale price. Anyone use / have experience with the $1000 credit. ?? |

The UDE rebate comes from BMW not the dealer, so it shouldn't have a huge impact on the dealer or their emotional state, but agreed it's best to negotiate the car to $xxx over invoice and then mention the rebate once you've locked that in.

Let's all face it. A savvy stealership will know what's available out there in form of rebates, e.g., UDE, USAA, BMWCCA, etc. You as the consumer will have to also stand fast with your offer regardless of what rebates are attached to it. If the dealership you'll dealing with don't dance, walk. I did just that and never looked back again. Oh yes, I did. Drove the M235i I acquired elsewhere and made sure the Sales Manager and Sales Adviser I was dealing with saw it!

Just an FYI - if the dealership is within reasonable distance to the UDE event, chances are the sales associates already know about it: a few dealerships I've been to these past two months actually had UDE dates set aside just for their dealerships.

It doesn't matter if they know about it or not. The rebate comes from BMWNA not the dealership..
Negotiate a price you like and hit me with the UDE at the end. It's what I did |

Wasnt sure if your name is put into the BMW database..... And as soon as you go ro negoiate...... They'll stick to $1000 above best price they were originally gonna give you, hence a wash of the $1000

My dealer gave me $500 over invoice before the $1000 UDE rebate on my 335i. If the dealer gives you $1500 over invoice before rebate, then walk away. It's amazing how fast dealers call you back when they realize you were serious about buying a car, at least in a competitive market.

The salesman I spoke with yesterday informed me of a Team USA driving event at his dealership in 2 weeks. I don't think it's the same as a UDE, but it also comes with a $1000 rebate from what I'm told. He also quoted me one of the the lowest prices I have yet to get from any dealer (before the rebate is factored in)...plus he said I could place an order now and then factor in the rebate before taking delivery. If you can't make a UDE, this seems like a great alternative.

For those of you that received the $1000 discount recently, does it say that it is only available on 2015 models? I'm thinking, if I attend the latest possible Washington DC event, plus 60 days of expiration, the newest-arriving 2016s might be in play.
