Question About My Lease Situation

I am having trouble finding the answers to the questions I have about my lease situation. Specifically, should I be charged taxes on my monthly payments?

To give a bit of a background, I recently moved to New Hampshire from Massachusetts. I timed my order for my car so that by the time the car arrives, I will have already moved to New Hampshire. My question is, since I purchased the car in Massachusetts, but had it registered to New Hampshire and even took delivery in New Hampshire (dealer delivered it) should I be charged a monthly tax for my lease?

Originally, I was under the assumption that I wouldn't have to pay this tax is I registered it in New Hampshire.

No, if you register it in New Hampshire there are no taxes (sales, excise) that should be added to your lease payment. You will pay a registration FEE when you register the vehicle at your local town hall or DMV office but this is never a part of the lease or financing, its paid in full for the year when you get your permanent plates.

No temp plate was issued. When my car arrived, they had one of their workers deliver my car to the town hall in New Hampshire.

So if I was quoted $460 a month then registered the car in New Hampshire, should the payment go down since the tax is taken out?

There should be a breakout on your contract/lease agreement. The taxes should be easy to separate from the BMW payment.
