realistically, there were obviously gains if he was hitting 166 in 6th, but something went pear. he called dinan and "threatened" to expose what happened on forums, and they asked if they could look at it and try to resolve it before he publicly discussed. seems like a pretty likely scenario...

That's kind of what I'm thinking too. Sucks we're left speculating but Delnari doesn't owe us anything so if he doesn't want to share, obviously he doesn't have to.

I'm thinking the results were much less than expected, maybe no gains at all (which I've actually read happened to another BMW car in a different thread...the car was dyno'd and saw no increase in power, Dinan said it was impossible, not sure what the end result was) and Dinan asked the OP to hold off posting the results while they either send out another unit (thinking that one could be defective) or trying to figure out what could be wrong (not installed correctly?).

No. The car is having drivetrain malfunctions and it didn't produce anything close to expected results. Oh but don't worry... I'm sure he can speak directly to Steve himself to get everything sorted out.

No. The car is having drivetrain malfunctions and it didn't produce anything close to expected results. Oh but don't worry... I'm sure he can speak directly to Steve himself to get everything sorted out.

All of this is making me even more nervous!! The unit is sitting there unopened...until I find a dyno in my area where I can run before/after, I'll just wait....

Install seems like it's pretty quick, and probably even quicker if you want to do it for testing purposes (not worried about tucking cables/making it look pretty). You should be able to strap the car on the dyno, do a few stock pulls, then install the unit while the car is still strapped down...I don't see why not.

You can get the install done in 20 minutes if you are not trying to put everything back, covers, tools, and such. Don't worry about hiding cables and velco the control box just to get it done for a quick test. You can do all the house cleaning once your off the dyno.

What I dont understand is the whole 270KMPH on the dyno shit !! Im not so sure its a Dinan related issue.... power runs are done generally in 4th or maybe fifth , what was the car doing at 270kmph at the top of 6th or 7th gear , thats asking for trouble !!

Very glad I didn't pull the trigger on the Dinan tune. I still may in the future, but will give them time to work out whatever bugs they need to. Good luck to the OP.
