Upgrades Pending

Moving to Dinan Stage 3, IC & mid-pipe week after next. Got a good deal. I'm just waiting on parts to arrive. The IC install instructions look complicated, definitely beyond my abilities so I'm glad the dealer will be doing the work (they've done 3 235's already thankfully, so won't be learning on my vehicle!)

Got my upgrades done last Thursday. The IC is a tight fit and I'm glad I didn't undertake that install myself. There's some minor cutting that has to be done, among other things but looks good. In terms of intake temp drops, didn't measure a before/after, so I don't have any info for you on that front, sorry. The new IC is right up against the front of the lower grille - raining today, so will try to snap a few pics tomorrow & post.

The stage 3 upgrade is friggin' unbelievable. Super smooth and just keeps pulling - was coming up on the on ramp on the 401 yesterday and w/o any effort I was at 160km/h in no time! Yikes!

The res-delete was a good choice/idea. I'm glad I did it. It's not obnoxious in the least, no drone but definitely adds that little bit more I was hoping for; the burbles/farts on down/upshift are just a little bit more noticeable, which I like.

Later

EDIT: shout-out to Brent and Steve at Budd's. Great team there and great customer focus

Try Jeff at Top Gear Solutions, they stock these parts and may have them ready to ship. If so, just cancel your order with Dinan.

I got my parts from my dealer so everything came within a week (intercooler and res-delete). Stage 3 was just a software update so no hardware.

Did any of you order your Big Turbo recently? I've been waiting over 2 months for mine.

Please tell me it's worth the wait.

Could you provide contact info for Jeff? Top Gear doesn't list the big turbo on their website.

No, only Stage 3, Intercooler, res-delete and CAI for me, no big turbo.

As for Jeff, I don't actually have ever his contact info but if you check the vendor classifieds and PM him he'll reach out pretty quickly.

You coulda saved 2500$ and just got a flash and got more power.

Enjoy stage 3, it puts the car into the same ballpark as a JB4 and a low flash tune.

Add 3 gal of e85 for even more fun.

And no warranty. If I'd wanted to flash the ecu I would've done it.

Thanks for the tip...let the Dinan bashing begin...yet again.

I see both sides to these points. I get the value of warranties after the nightmares I had with my Lexus.

Fully agree that there is always room for choice. Just saying I made mine ages ago and happy with the outcome. Just tired of individuals saying Dinan users/supporters are being ripped off...a tune is not necessarily about more power. I have no need to tell others I have xxxhp/TQ.
